California Sheriff ‘Changing Teams,' Going All-In for Trump
The Western Journal ^ | June 2, 2024 at 2:58pm | By Connor Cavanaugh

Sheriff Chad Bianco has spent a lifetime working in law enforcement — and likely never expected that he’d be rallying behind a felon in a presidential election.

During a 30-year career with the sheriff’s office of Riverside County, California — elected to the top spot in 2018 — Bianco has had many different encounters with criminals — and built a national reputation as a law-and-order conservative.

However, the felon that Bianco intends to support isn’t the kind of common criminal selling drugs or committing violent offenses that Bianco sees so often in the crime-loving state of California.

The convict who has this sheriff “changing teams” is a much more monumental figure: Former President Donald Trump.

The outspoken Californian released a video on social media Saturday informing followers that despite Trump being convicted on 34 felony counts in New York, Bianco fully intends to put his support in the presumptive Republican nominee.

Good for him. By the way, I grew up in Riverside County in the Palm Springs area.

I live on Mt. San Jacinto, that big mountain that overlooks Palm Springs.

“I live on Mt. San Jacinto, that big mountain that overlooks Palm Springs.”

All my young life I grew up looking at Mount San Jacinto. It is quite a rise to the top from the desert floor of Palm Springs. Over 10,000 feet from the desert base to the top.

It is the tallest mountain in the lower 48, measuring from baseline to summit, with the steepest vertical incline. Not the highest, but the tallest.

By “changing teams” they don’t mean from Biden to Trump. Bianco has always been a pretty solid conservative.

I think he’s on the right track. Having Trump called a convicted criminal doesn’t necessarily make him one in this particular unusual case.
