Started by a married couple who are in real estate. Quickly went to 50,000 watts of power, more than many music stations here.
It’s as MAGA as you can get, plus, as I said, plenty of Missouri specific politics and in the MAGA or America First way. Missouri politics has generally been a word of mouth thing and politicians being in the right organizations. Good ole boy politics. They don’t do informative websites or make appearances. It’s been a wild guess for me who to vote for in many cases because I know nothing about them. Most of the incumbent or establishment types don’t do phone interviews with this station because they’d have to answer for their past.
Plenty of Christian content too, especially on the weekends and of course, mostly Sunday. Pastor Todd Coconato is probably my favorite(Protestant). He’s the - quit being meek and yes, Christians, including church leaders should be boldly talking about political and culture issues.
They highlight local businesses who are much of their advertising, at least when it’s not a national radio personality like Charlie Kirk. Then you get the standard, my patriot supply.com, relief factor.com, BUY GOLD etc.
They bring the local business owners on for spots too and one even has his own weekly show now, Cow Town USA. They sell ATVs, boats and tractors(Mahindra) and stuff like that. It’s not strictly an infomercial though. General talk about the typical farming and outdoor sports that people are into here, and also some politics.
It’s a damn good template for other states.
They got their start in early COVID times and had local and national doctors who weren’t down with the whole jab everyone on the planet thing. Had a local doc on with her patient call in to tell of his experience. He was doing bad but wasn’t going to take the “vaccine” and she couldn’t get Ivermectin but he was a farmer so he went ahead and got the horse dewormer version and it fixed him right up. I was hooked on the station at that point.
