Republican National Committee Co-Chair Lara Trump said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that GOP Maryland U.S. Senate candidate Larry Hogan did not deserve the respect of anyone in America.
Guest host Kasie Hunt said, “Republican Senate candidate Larry Hogan in Maryland. And again, I’m asking this in your capacity as one of the co-chairs of the entire Republican Party and he’s a popular former governor in Maryland. He wrote this ahead, right ahead of the verdict. He said, ‘Regardless of the result, I urge all Americans to respect the verdict and the legal process.’ That is not the Republican Party line at the moment. And in fact, he was attacked by the top Trump adviser, Chris LaCivita, who wrote that he ‘Just ended your campaign.’ Does the Republican National Committee support Larry Hogan for Senate?”

Maryland is about as bad as Massachussetts. The people they elect reflect their neo pagan hedonism and decadence. Decent, rational people are a clear minority in those places.
Looks like a potential RINO was uncovered.
Let Trump slap him around when he’s POTUS and Hogan wins. Neither one is a certainty.
Hogan is a Democrat using the GOP cover as a joke.
Lock-down Larry has been known to have Long TDS for quite awhile.
Why go on CNN? She’s not going to sway anyone in that audience. CNN just wants pinantas to swat.
One earlier ad talks about how bad the border is and that something must be done about it. I hope the voters in Maryland will remember that during the 2000 election, he supported Biden over President Trump
The second ad, he proudly proclaims that Republicans and Democrats cannot count on having his vote. That he will vote for what is right for Maryland. Basically, the ad seems to proclaim that he is running as an Independent and not as a Republican.
Hogan is a lying snake in the grass!
Hogan’s Zeroes.
Tell me about it.
I hate this state.
Maryland is about as bad as Massachussetts.
**************
Maryland is a beneficiary of massive federal largesse that flows into the area and as such is strongly in favor of expansive government (i.e., liberalism). In Maryland everyone is related to or knows somebody who works for the federal government. So there’s a strong financial force that drives liberal Maryland politics. Massachusetts on the other hand seems to be more philosophically oriented towards liberalism. They are true believers.
Whatever, both are perma-blue states.
Larry Hogan is on the Left.
He has no realistic chance to win Maryland.
Republicans who vote for Hogan think he’s a Republican. Republicans who don’t vote for him know that he’s a Democrat.
I hope he loses.
*Hogan is a Democrat using the GOP cover as a joke.*
Fine. It’s Maryland. Use your head. He’s like lost luggage. Put him in for 6 years before he becomes stench, usually in a 2nd term.
Re: 14 - Fair enough.
Still need to get 50 seats in the Senate at the minimum to get judges confirmed.
But as noted, Hogan has no realistic chance and didn’t before his comments.
We may be missing something here. Lara Trump could be very smart. Dis the fella in a deep blue state and the rats with border/inflation misgivings just might vote him in to help Trump while spiting him on other issues. A Judas-lite Hogan will be more effective than another rat.
Worth a try.
Hogan may be a liberal Republican but if you’re a Dem, why lie and say you’re a Republican in Maryland? There is absolutely no chance that a conservative or even moderate Republican could get elected in Maryland. I think we should take what we can get. At a minimum it denies the seat to a true Dem.
Unfortunately, Maryland is a deep blue state, and Hogan is about the best you can get from Maryland.
They said that when he ran for Governor. He served two terms.
