Let's start over. Joe doesn't have “standing” to exercise Executive Privilege to restrict access to the audio of a deposition that already had the transcript released. Joe discussed crimes (yes, crimes) he perpetrated as a Senator, Vice President, and as a private citizen. He may have taken the deposition while being a sitting President, but Executive Privilege does not protect Joe in this topic. Since Hur made the statements that Joe seems to have indeed broke the laws regarding classified materials, Hur backed off prosecuting Joe since he was a "sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory". The committee needs to hear the gaffes, gaps, unintelligible utterances, stuttering, stammering, and any deceptive utterances. I'd be suspicious of Garland releasing a recording that was tampered with by the DoJ!
