“”””2. Multiple felony convictions would preclude one from receiving a security clearance.””””

Being President is its own security clearance, the President is the highest authority in the Executive Branch and the ultimate power of the security clearance authority, there is no security clearance deciding agency or office above his.

I can’t find the law that the President automatically gets a top security clearance. However, The President is the Chief Executive Officer. The Executive Branch issues the security clearances. Therefore, the Chief Executive is ultimately in charge of the security clearance.

I can see the agencies resisting the sharing of information with a convicted felon who otherwise would not have a security clearance.
