Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.) pressed New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) to pardon former President Trump following his recent conviction in his hush money trial. “Donald Trump is a serial liar, cheater, and philanderer, a six-time declarer of corporate bankruptcy, an instigator of insurrection, and a convicted felon who thrives on portraying himself as a victim,” Phillips said in a post on social platform X Friday. “@GovKathyHochul should pardon him for the good of the country.
A pardon implies actual guilt - can one refuse a pardon, and demand actual exoneration via the appeal process?
Somebody is worried.
No! Let them sentence him to jail and deal with the consequences.
A pardon, an apology and removal of Bragg from the practice of law is the only thing that would save New York.
Let the Supreme Court stomp on Bragg.

She won’t because she hates him and is afraid of him. She wants to see him jailed. Democrats are ALL terrified because he’s now even MORE assured of winning. That which they have greatly feared has come upon them, and they did it to themselves. He gets the last laugh and the jokes on them.

This would actually be a smart move on the part of the Democrats. It would make moot all the appeals but leave in place charge that Trump is a convicted felon. However, I suspect that the Democrats want blood.
It is nice to see unanimity broken among the Democrats for a change.
