So, you're bragging about the plan to breakup Russia, all while claiming ridiculously Putin wants to resemble the old Soviet Union?

You apparently WANT a hot war with Russia, WW III or nuclear war. And, that is what makes people like you a grave threat to national security.

Russia is defending the threat on its border its actual border this is like the US being attacked from Mexico.

Ukraine sends in stuff every day attacking Russia with weapons sent to them by NATO.

Well at least Russia fights on its southern border.

Zelensky's offer is completely contradicted by the stated positions of U.S. policy makers for years since the 1990s. And those are closely tied to a long-held foreign policy goal of Great Britain -- dating back to the days of the Ottoman Empire in the 19th century -- to keep Russia from establishing warm water ports that would enable it to contend with the British Empire as the preeminent power in the world.

Nothing has changed in nearly 200 years except the U.S. has replaced Great Britain as the preeminent power in the world.

“At what point does the west say that this war just costs too much? Is continuing this war really in NATO’s interest?”

It seems to me that the PROPER PATH for the West would have been to try to get on good terms with Russia, WITHOUT first trying to overthrow its government. That way, the REAL PROBLEM, China could have been dealt with far more effectively than what we did, which was to drive China and Russia into each other’s arms (even the Russians can’t believe we were that stupid)

But given where we are now, about the only option left for the Neocons is to start World War 3 and hope that somehow the US survives it, but Russia doesn’t. Be good if there were some other option, like disengaging, but that seems to be ruled out, since it would hurt Biden’s re-election...so, time to stock up and hope for the best.

“At what point does Ukraine and NATO say that?”

At NO point... NATO can outgun, outman and outwit Russia until Russia is on it’s knees and begging for it’s existence. Russia is a conglomeration of individual states that can return to their former statehood, destroying Russia as a nation. Russia will be nothing more than an afterthought and former memory of time gone by.

Who suggested that you move there? If no one, why bring it up?

This article is behind a paywall, but you can find references to it in other publications that spell out very clearly what the primary U.S. foreign policy has been for years:

Think it’s ‘cute’ to break up Russia like the Neocons demand. How would you like it if Russia and/or China demanded that the US break up.

See my point...wait a minute...let find a better analogy.

“Nonsense! Russia was under no threat of invasion before they attacked Ukraine and would survive if they withdrew from Ukraine.”

Perhaps Russia is not threatened by invasion, but where I live, the same LEFTIST government you say doesn’t threaten Russia is DESTROYING MY COUNTRY through invasion from the Southern Border.

So why should I believe that Russia is safe when MY OWN COUNTRY is not safe from these people.

Russia wasn't threated at all by an illegal coup that installed puppet government…

Whatever the nature of the events in 2014 (and I do not accept your characterization of a coup), there have been two national elections since. The present government was elected, not "installed." Sorry, but Russia does not get to dictate who rules Ukraine.

…that tried to cutoff its access to a naval base it had maintained in Crimea since 1783?

I am sorry but Russia does not get to demand retain military bases in other nations because they once had them in the past. Should Finland and the Baltic nations cede old military bases back to Russia because they once held them? Should the US cede military bases to the UK because we were once a British colony. Russia needs to accept that the days of the old Russian Empire are over. Additionally, the present war shows that Russia's naval base in Sevastopol is militarily useless against modern weapons. So what is the point in keeping it?

It wasn't threatened by a NATO build up of 600,000 man army that was funded and armed by the US and other NATO countries?

You forgot to mention that the buildup was a response to Russia's 2014 invasion. Was Ukraine just suppose to ignore the fact that Russia was militarily occupying Ukrainian territory? And no, Russia was not threatened. Even with that military it is Russia that is doing the invading, not Ukraine. The only threat that the Ukrainian buildup had was that Ukraine could protect itself from Russian aggression. Russia could no longer militarily threaten Ukraine and pretend to be its overlord, like in the good old days of the Russian Empire.

This after we promised the Russians no eastward expansion of NATO in the early '90s.

If Russia had not been so aggressive with its neighbors perhaps the eastern European nations would not have begged to be included in NATO. You always leave out that part of the equation. Why?

Did you miss the point that Ukraine is attacking in response to Russia's invasion? No invasion, no attacks.
