Ron DeSantis: Trump Verdict Represents ‘Political Agenda of Some Kangaroo Court’
Breitbart ^ | 30 May 2024 | HANNAH KNUDSEN

Posted on 05/30/2024 2:51:29 PM PDT by conservative98

The verdict in former President Donald Trump’s business records trial in Manhattan was the “culmination of a legal process that has been bent to the political will of the actors involved,” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said in a statement on Thursday following the Manhattan jury finding him guilty on all 34 counts.

“Today’s verdict represents the culmination of a legal process that has been bent to the political will of the actors involved: a leftist prosecutor, a partisan judge and a jury reflective of one of the most liberal enclaves in America—all in an effort to “get” Donald Trump,” DeSantis said in a statement.

“That this case—involving alleged misdemeanor business records violations from nearly a decade ago—was even brought is a testament to the political debasement of the justice system in places like New York City,” he said, slamming leftist district attorney Alvin Bragg.

“This is especially true considering this same district attorney routinely excuses criminal conduct in a way that has endangered law-abiding citizens in his jurisdiction,” the governor continued, noting that this case would have never been brought if the defendant was someone other than Trump.

“It is often said that no one is above the law, but it is also true that no one is below the law. If the defendant were not Donald Trump, this case would never have been brought, the judge would have never issued similar rulings, and the jury would have never returned a guilty verdict,” he said, adding, “In America, the rule of law should be applied in a dispassionate, even-handed manner, not become captive to the political agenda of some kangaroo court.”

Trump delivered a brief statement following the verdict, making it clear that the real verdict will be on Election Day.

Howdy Joe. You deserve everything you get. Have a nice day in your ignorant Never Trump world. No need to respond. You are nothing to me.

“That is so wrong it’s laughable.
Ron, Nikki, Scott, each as VP assures an assassination attempt”

With the Democommies, impeachment is a certainty.

Assassination is less certain, but with open borders, Iran, Assam Solemàni and drones, who really knows?

Very well said. Emotions are running so high presently it is rewarding to see your post. The underlying hate from posters who have been aggressively Never Trump is still present. They have posted here yesterday and managed to bring out words and sentiments in me I normally don’t give in to.

I live in Florida. Love it. Love my state. Ron owes his career to Donald Trump who saved his candidacy from ruin. The mood in my part of this state is Ron stabbed Trump in the back by running and how he ran during the primary. And no matter the PR Ron puts either through statements or “Conservative” actions, his image is not going to be changed. Once a snake.....

That’s just the mood I’m seeing. Granted not everybody feels this way, but its obvious enough of a percentage to force Ron into a campaign to rehab his image. That’s my opinion anyway.

The greater issue here is the loss of the country. We are at the edge of a cliff. The ground under foot is giving way. If the Democrats and their Rino friends in the GOP are successful with lawfare, imagine what they will do next. To any politician who stands up against them. To You. To me. To our children.

Trump...
Respects my liberties

Keeps his hands off my money

Desantis...

But some ppl find ways to disparage one or the other.

Well said. DeSantis has revealed his true character. If he can be helpful in some way to Trump and the MAGA movement, then fine. But he can never be fully trusted. We’ve already seen who he is. If he can’t be loyal in his personal and professional life, why would anyone expect him to be loyal to the voters?

I don’t know if you were referring to my posts. Let me be clear. I have never disliked Ron DeSantiss. He was magnificent during Ian, and we are still struggling with recovery. What my eyes were opened to is what I posted in this thread. I didn’t mention where the money came from to fund his campaign or who ran his PACs. That came out during the primary.

I wasn’t lying about the mood in my part of the state. Not everybody feels ill toward Ron, but he lost a lot of support and trust. Its one reason why he must rehab his image through PR and legislation. Its what it is. I don’t wish ill to Ron and honestly, I wish the Bush Rino wing of the party didn’t own him. He could have had the VP and the presidency in 28. He could have had it all. I wish to God above he would have made different choices, but he did what he believed he could win at. And he lost. Big.. And as a citizen of this country I have had the knife twisted in my back too many times by members of your party to trust that Ron DeSantiss is any different than any other Uni Party Rino trying to shore up conservative voters through PR. That is my opinion and like you are entitled to your opinion, I’m entitled to mine.

I do? Where’s the video saying he knew? You can’t find it. You are assuming without evidence. Were you on that jury yesterday? You are just as bad.

Grow up. He wasn’t supporting Trump. He knew about the raid on Mar-A-Lago and said nothing as far as we know. He’s in bed with the GOPe RINO Uni-party who have destroyed this nation along with their Democrat cohorts. Had many nasty things to say about Trump, and you still like him. Well, that’s your right, however, I will say what I feel. Since you said it’s a lie, then it’s on you to prove that it’s a lie. I will admit that my statement is my personal opinion without question. Just because he has lived up to his pledge to support the nominee, and fund raised for him, doesn’t sway my opinion about him one iota.

Yes! I read your post in full. And that is exactly what I’ve been saying and what the mood is in the part of Florida where I live. You expressed it so much better than i.

“Voting for Trump come Hell or high water is a necessary rebuke.”

I voted for Trump the past two elections, and will do so again if he’s eligible to hold office.

But voting for an ineligible candidate doesn’t send a message, or issue a rebuke. It allows the left to throw your vote in the trash.”

His true character? He’s a family man who stood by his wife through her cancer and a governor who is piling up win after win after win for conservative policy. There is the real Ron DeSantis. I have no idea why you would find him untrustworthy, except for a pack of lies you were told.

Ron LOST donors due to sticking to conservative principles. They went to Haley instead.

You’ve been lied to.

If you think the Bush wing of the party has anything to do with DeSantis, you live in a fantasy world.

Ron DeSantis isn’t the one running around endorsing RINOs over real conservatives all around the country.

Do you think people like Massie and Roy and Bob Good would endorse a Bushie? The very idea is insane.

He ran to offer his vision of effective conservative governance to the nation. When he lost, he endorsed Trump.

No evidence that he knew about Mar-A-Lago and what would you have had him do? Interfere with a Federal investigation?

No, the claim that he is “in bed with the GOPe RINO Uni-party” is simply a lie told by some of the crazier Trump acolytes. There is NO truth to it, despite what people like Loomer claim.

It’s been debunked over and over, but you’re still expected to believe it.

RD would increase the possibility of higher office in the future if he were to instruct his AG to get on the stick and start arresting and prosecuting every left-wing scofflaw in his state. Make it a tidal wave. Start today.

We can agree to disagree. But the reality is that he was the presumptive torch bearer to lead the MAGA movement, but instead he was not content to serve a 2nd term as Governor of Florida. No he was so ambition that he had to get involved in replacing Trump, instead of most likely becoming Trump's running mate, and even influence Trump while in office and being one of the most influential Vice President this nation has ever had. Because Trump would have been more than enthusiastic to have Ron DeSantis as his right hand man in leading this nation back to greatness.

His ambition was so great that he allowed the GOPe, who hates Trump as well as, every person that supports the MAMA movement, to convince him that he was the person to replace Trump.

So, if he is not smart enough to see his true path to the top political office, and instead decides to go head-to-head because he believes he could out maneuver Trump to sell his vision, shows me that he doesn't have a clue as to what this movement is even about.

This is a battle to save this nation that is, if you haven't noticed even with the conviction of Trump on BS charges, rapidly advancing towards communism.

His first response regarding the Ukraine/Russia conflict, was positive, but then he changed his initially stated position. If you think that this revision wasn't the result of the Deep State supporting GOPe pressure upon him.

That's evidence that he is not his own man, but is without question a man who is compromised by the money people who control this nation. crazier Trump acolytes

I am one of those crazier Trump acolytes, because it is really bigger than Donald John Trump. Donald John Trump is the only person that cannot be controlled. He has everything he needs. Furthermore, he is committed to making this nation great again.

Shame that apparently you are not. That's a shame, perhaps yo will reexamine what you think is important. You can act as the defender of DeSantis all you want, but rest assured, when the going gets tough, Ron DeSantis will not defend you. He will sell you out as quick as a heartbeat.
