Report: One Juror Appears Sympathetic to Donald Trump
Breitbart ^ | 05/29/2024 | WENDELL HUSEBØ

One juror who sat for six weeks listening to the evidence presented in a Manhattan courtroom against former President Donald Trump reportedly appears sympathetic towards him.

The jury on Wednesday will begin to consider whether or not Trump, beyond a reasonable doubt, committed a crime of falsifying records to conceal a second crime. Many legal experts believe there is no good case against Trump.

Some legal experts, such as constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley, expect the jury will either render a guilty verdict or produce a hung jury that results in a mistrial.

We will need more than ONE juror to declare this a mistrial. With this bastard judge, he will just dismiss her and put in an alternate who will vote to convict so it has to be at least 3-4 jurors who say NO WAY this is NUTS and try to convince a few others to see it their way

On the only trial I’ve been on the jury, the alternates were replaced as soon as it went to the jury. If a juror needed to be replaced then it would have required a new trial. I don’t know about longer trials or New York law.

What if the jury comes with not guilty and the Judge sets aside the verdict to find him guilty anyway?

Not according to the law, but when has Merchan let the law get in his way?

The biggest problem with a hung jury is that it drags this whole thing out a lot longer.

Unfortunately, body language is all we have at this point. And this can be even “thinner gruel” because, this juror might truly be sympathetic to the defense’s case, and yet come under such peer pressure from 11 other jurors, that he/she cannot stand up to the pressure and ultimately succumbs. We will never know who this was or what stand they took. Watch “12 Angry Men” to see how it is for one holdout on a jury.

BTW, on a lighter note, look up an old Dick Van Dyck show that was a really funny parody of “12 AM”. I think it was the 3rd season, but maybe not. Anyway, DVD is on a jury considering whether a voluptuous babe has stolen jewelry. He is the only holdout on the jury, and everyone (including his wife!) thinks he is holding out because he is captivated by her. And he does incredibly embarrassing things in the courtroom. A very funny show, especially if you are familiar with “12 AM”.

Some of my co-workers are lefties and even they don’t like what’s going on, and for the same reasons. They know Trump is popular and Biden is not. It could ruin their ‘party’ for decades................

I’ve been on a hung jury. It felt like a waste of time since we never came to a verdict. It wasn’t a big trial, but it was interesting how strongly all the jurors held onto their beliefs.

I can only pray for the best for President Trump.

That is so against-the-law that it would be equivalent to the judge vacating the verdict outright and imposing his own verdict.

If he did that, I'd expect the SCOTUS to step in outright, and nullify everything.
