A U.S. military-built pier off Gaza’s coast is being temporarily removed after a part of the structure broke off, the Pentagon said on Tuesday, in the latest blow to efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to Palestinians.
The pier was announced by U.S. President Joe Biden in March and involved the military assembling the floating structure off the coast. Estimated to cost $320 million for the first 90 days and involve about 1,000 U.S. service members, it went into operation two weeks ago.

You have to wonder, what with Israel sitting there up against the Mediterranean since 1947 (or whatever), why Israeli advisors couldn’t advise the U.S. Military on anticipated sea conditions.
Or did they and were ignored?
multiple articles have quoted the UN as saying they can’t verify that ANY of those truck loads arrived at their distribution center and that they’ve seen the trucks looted as soon as they arrive on land ... furthermore, the UN claims to have halted the truck shipments only if/until sufficent security can be established on the route between the pier and the warehouse ..
Some say Biden is incompetent, but the facts show that in fact he is utterly without pier.
