A job posting that included race and citizenship requirements — and the stipulation, “Don’t share with candidates” — has resulted in settlement agreements between Virginia-based IT staffing firm Arthur Grand Technologies Inc. and the U.S. government.
Under the arrangement, Arthur Grand will pay a civil penalty of $7,500, along with a total of $31,000 to...
Arthur Grand “neither admits nor denies any violation,” the Department of Labor’s agreement states. But in a message to NPR, Arthur Grand CEO Sheik Rahmathullah said his company "vehemently denies any guilt or wrongdoing." The job posting was made by a rogue employee, he said.
..."Arthur Grand Technologies vehemently denies any guilt or wrongdoing in relation to the discriminatory job posting," Rahmathullah said. The job notice was an "unauthorized posting," he added.
When the company became aware of what had happened, Rahmathullah said, "we took immediate and decisive action to ensure that this type of incident will never happen again, including the immediate termination of the responsible employee."

Meanwhile there is OBVIOUS discrimination against white people all the time and the media and Democrats (same thing) applaud.
honestly it sounds like something done by the left to create ‘outrage’ against whites and to get minorities out to vote / demand more DEI garbage.
I wonder what one would find by doing a deep dive on this company
Almost all of the “bigotry” in the world at this point is just hoax stuff created by the Left so that they can push their Narrative, stir up trouble and get more fundamental transformation.
Filthy hypocrites. There is obvious discrimination against White males, and it’s promoted and celebrated.
They should have simply said, “Hiring underrepresented and intelligent candidates.”
Meanwhile, DEI, the agenda driven anti white program, continues to be pushed everywhere
If you want to target a particular race to hire the last thing you do is advertise it, you do it as quietly as possible which makes me wonder if there’s not more to this.
kinda like the dots do?
but Nonwhites only job posting is OK ?
All I know is I saw it for 30 years in the DoD.....way before anybody thought it up and called it “DEI”.
Ummm...look deeper.
CEO “Sheik Rahmathullah” (muslim?), minority-owned IT company headquartered in D.C. with government & commercial contracts, revenue growth exponentially above expectations since launch for such a business, murky ownership and seeking ‘palefaces’.
Smells to high heaven. This poor taste job posting might just have brought something into the light which they intended to remain low profile.
But, then again, I’m nearly alone in continuously kicking the old ‘Awan Bros scandal’ back into the light...
When I got out of high school I considered applying to the city fire rescue.
That was around ‘79 or ‘80.....of course that was before the internet so scanning the job ads in the paper it didn’t take long, an opportunity was listed for city fire rescue training. I went to city hall to get more details and see the “job board”. Sure enough there it was, the fire rescue training job posting.
Right under the title in all caps was this:
“BLACK APPLICANTS ONLY NEED APPLY”
After that the accusation of racism and blacks not being treated equally meant nothing to me and on through my life that belief has been confirmed to me over and over.
That American Whites are inherently racist is one of the greatest falsehoods ever perpetrated in this country.
The surge in hiring was dominated by diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. An eye-opening 94% of new hires could be categorized as “people of color (POC).” Whites – just over 70% of the U.S. population – accounted for only 6% of S&P 100 hires.

“… including the immediate termination of the responsible employee.”
Yes. I’m curious about this employee. The fine was small by DoJ standards, and no one seems to want to say anything about the responsible party.
Back in that time period the EEOC was on a rampage pushing quotas. Companies had been found discriminating and the Fed did what they always do — discriminate. That is all affirmative action has ever been about.
I was hiring in Tx about that time. Had just lost a female engineer — to marketing of all things. Anyhoo, the Personnel Dept (no, not HR) demanded that she be replaced with another female. Uhh, because of the job itself there was a very narrow category of folks capable, regardless of any characteristic. I called around at every power company in the the US and found that there were only 6 presently employed.
I spent the next 6 months short-handed as I couldn’t even entice anyone to interview. Personnel finally relented.
