VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Pope Francis used a highly derogatory term towards the LGBT community as he reiterated in a closed-door meeting with Italian bishops that gay people should not be allowed to become priests, Italian media reported on Monday.
La Repubblica and Corriere della Sera, Italy's largest circulation dailies, both quoted the pope as saying seminaries, or priesthood colleges, are already too full of "frociaggine", a vulgar Italian term roughly translating as "faggottness".
The Vatican did not respond to a request for comment.
La Repubblica attributed its story to several unspecified sources, while Corriere said it was backed up by a few, unnamed bishops, who suggested the pope, as an Argentine, might have not realised that the Italian term he used was offensive.

Good for him.
Although, he could’ve just used it to demonstrate how terrible normal people are in a sarcastic way.
Otherwise, how is this offensive when these idiots themselves call themselves “queer” (which means weird, strange - not a kindly word)?
I don’t even know what “queer” is, if it is NOT homo and trannie.
Look to Pope’s usage to lead to them adopting it, just like “queer”.

How much faggotry is just the right amount? Less than one femtofag. That's the current limit on measurement.

“Maybe faggotry is the correct translation.”
Based on my knowledge of Italiano, that is *exactly* the right translation. Oh, boy, Bergoglio was heretofore the darling of the LGBTs. Will they turn on him of now? Or will he grovel for their forgiveness??

I think the British media response to hearing the derogatory term was “ well bugger me, I didn’t think he had it in him.

"Finnochio's" was a popular nightspot in San Francisco for many decades, often attracting out-of-town businessmen with its "female impersonators." But it was really a finnochio sort of place as you can tell by the name.

Yep :) Trying to read the Pope’s word, all I could hear was McGavin’s voice from A Christmas Story. “Fra-gee-lay.”

So, if the Pope can say faggotry and faggot, as a Catholic, can I now use the term to refer to homosexuals and defend it as a religious term? I'm fine with that.
What I'd like to hear from the Pope is what he is doing to remove them from the church.
