US Sen. Bob Menendez is petitioning to run for Senate as an independent candidate, in a last ditch attempt to save his political career.
The embattled New Jersey Democrat is facing federal charges of fraud, extortion, bribery and acting as a foreign agent for Egypt between 2018 and 2022 — while serving as chairman of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
Menendez, who bowed out of his state’s Democratic primary, has been personally collecting signatures to get ballot access, according to the New Jersey Globe.

Can’t speak for his past, but if he does SPLIT THE TICKET for the Democrats, then there’s a chance that a RINO will get elected, and if the Republicans are TOO DUMB to realize the above (which is almost always true for that bunch), then there is even a chance of a CONSERVATIVE getting elected.
Either way, the more we help the crook, the better it is for the country.

Every Rat in the USA is crooked, but only Menendez is on trial. Why do you think? No Rat gets indicted without approval of the big boss; Menendez is on trial because Obama hates him.
The McDonnell vs USA Supreme Court decision makes it very difficult to convict a public official of bribery. That’s why the prosecutors piled on all the extra charges. Menendez faces long odds, but I would call giving up pathetic, not fighting back.
They will convict their own when their usefulness has, shall we say, “expired”.
Most donkey party apparatchiks know where the line is and don’t dare to cross it.
The truth is, Menendez has had it. He stepped all over the aforementioned line and dared his party colleagues to follow through on the baseline unspoken threat.
