Nothing new there. The word engage there means to engage in conversation or negotiation. The second document is standard procedure. Although it does not take much for an FBI agent to shoot you dead. The real scandal here is that they ever did the illegal raid and that they ever would have put Trump in such danger. However they knew full well that Trump was not there that day. So they never actually put Trump in danger. Which is another reason the accusations here are absurd.

I just happened to run across a whistle blower speaking about it last night. He has been put through the ringer by the FBI. He wants them abolished. And yet he says this entire story is wrong(Dobbs gets confused). You can jump to the 41:15 mark if you want to listen to him.

Thanks for the link.

Yes, it is scandalous that they ever did the raid, when all the Presidential documents were already kept according to the system that Obama put in place, AND when the boxes that supposedly had the classified documents had actually been handled by the govt and then sent to Trump (so he couldn’t have even known what was in them, but somebody could easily have planted anything they wanted there), AND Trump was allowing the DOJ to look at whatever they wanted to without any warrants needed.

If this was really standard operating procedure to authorize deadly force then I’m sure they’ll be showing us the same orders when they searched all the other places such as Biden’s, Clinton’s, and Pence’s and found classified records in their possession.

They put the secret service agents in harm’s way - especially by using plain-clothes agents. And they had no guarantees that Trump wouldn’t change his mind and come back at any time. Trump said they were loaded for bear, and they were. Doesn’t mean they planned to assassinate him, but if he had come back unexpectedly he could have ended up just like all the other innocent people who have been killed in SWAT operations.

My understanding, from what the whistleblower said, is that one of the reasons he blew the whistle on the FBI is BECAUSE they use this kind of brainless stuff as standard operating procedure. It might be their way of doing things, but it still doesn’t make it right. And he said that Merrick Garland could CERTAINLY have overruled the “standard procedure”. The argument that they treat everybody the same, even if they are an ex-President, is a bunch of absolute BS when you look at how they handled both Clintons and Biden compared to Trump.

I actually kind of wonder if this became “standard procedure” as the whistleblower claims AFTER Dan Bongino was involved in the security apparatus, because I think Bongino says this is not at all standard procedure. Hopefully somebody will correct me if I’m mistaken on that. If I’m correct on that, I wonder what timeframe Bongino refers to when he says it’s not standard procedure, and what timeframe this whistleblower refers to when he says it is. Maybe the FBI just got that much more crooked between the two timeframes in question.
