Moscow is taking advantage of the lack of both air defenses in Ukraine and reliable capability to destroy Russian launchers, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Thursday following a deadly missile strike on the northeastern city of Kharkiv.
Russian troops conducted at least 15 strikes on the city Thursday morning, he added on Telegram. Russian air defense systems in the southern region of Belgorod destroyed three Olkha and 32 Vampire rockets and three drones launched by Ukraine overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry said Thursday.

Patriot missile production is 550 rockets per year.
That’s almost two per day !
Though I am well versed in Naval and Submarine warfare only, the location of usable airfields, speed of adaptation and speed of hypersonic attack on a human piloted aircraft may well make F-16’s less of an impact than expected by Ukraine.
I wonder if we’ll keep any here in the USA to defend the American People?
Total production of Patriots over the last 40 years is approx 10,000 of which many have been exported.
DOD have sent a bunch to Ukraine, so the USA inventory must be down to the minimum they can tolerate.
So Ukraine gets, at most, ongoing production.
Oh yeah, they are “raising” Patriot production to 650 missiles per year...

The Zelenskyy used $2M missiles to shoot at cheap drones until he had no missiles. Then Russia used aircraft to deploy cheap guided air to ground glide bombs.
