The Supreme Court was clear that it is a state issue. This moron wants to federalize everything.

Living here and voting for this turncoat, I despise him.

Yes. But federal codification would still have to pass muster on Constitutionally. Some this USSC might rule against.

At least it would clarify the situation.

At this point, it’s rearranging the deck chairs on The Titanic.

There is a federal law which bans partial birth abortion. So that sounds like, the federal government, and not just individual states, can pass laws dealing with abortion.

We saw that ad tonight and are also rethinking it.

Two weeks ago he was focusing on the border (as if he ever cared about that when he was governor) in order to get Republican votes. Now that the primary is over, he shows who is really important to him. Democrats.

Hogan votes for Ari Al’s Reagan instead of Trump. I may do the same.

I’m sorry, but didn’t SCOTUS rule that abortion is a state, not federal issue?

Perhaps FEDerally restricting abortion but not passing laws that say there is a federal Constitution RIGHT to abortion that constrains the states’ right to govern the issue. Just sayin’.

We’re talking about two different things here. One is a federal ‘ban’ on a method of killing (essentially delivering a baby at-term but killing it on the way out) and a ‘concept’ that this USSC held in the Roe v Wade reversal that it isn’t a ‘constitutional right’ or the federal government’s purview to be legislating “that which should be left to the states.”

The fact that a lickspittle GOP House, a Democrat Senate and a Democrat President could pass some national abortion legislation that would legalize abortion ubiquitously still has to get by the USSC and its recent reversal of Roe v Wade and turnback to states rights.
