Whenever I hear the word "neocons", my brain disengages.

These people are not conservatives in any meaningful sense. Calling them "neocons" is ridiculous. Nor are they the anti-communists who fought against the Soviet world empire during the Cold War, as this writer suggests. Those pushing this war are secular socialist globalists who hate traditional Western civilization and especially Christianity.

The only people “pushing this war” are the Russians. Nobody else wanted Russia to invade one of its neighbors.
