The U.S. State Department issued a statement offering condolences to Iran after the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, also known as the “Butcher of Tehran.”
State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said in a statement on Monday that the U.S. “expresses its official condolences” for the death of Raisi, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and other officials who had been on board a helicopter that had crashed in a mountainous region of Iran on Sunday.
“The United States expresses its official condolences for the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian, and many other members of their delegation in a helicopter crash in northwest Iran,” the statement said.

Somebody help me out here: I can’t seem to remember the George W.H. Bush White House offering condolences when Ayatollah Khomeini died.
Condolences??? WTF??? Is this the Bee? Obama is deeply saddened is what they are saying.
Flags to half staff, President Jarrett inconsolable.
Surprised Obama didn’t issue a condolence when Bin Ladin was “supposedly” killed
They offered oj’s family condolences too so there ya go I’m waiting for them to issue condolences to hitlers family as well
Obama did have Bin Laden’s body washed and have all the other accouterments of a Muslim funeral before it got dumped into the ocean.
I figured this was obama’s doing.
Here is the White House song played on that mournful moment.

If it was in reverse Iran would be cheering and praising Allah. Well maybe not Biden but Trump for sure. Biden dying they might snicker at.
We should only speak good of the dead. He’s dead - Good!
As a gesture of kindness, we should send the Iranians a Bombe Surprise cake.
Diamonds Are Forever.

The prime minister of Ireland at the time, Éamon de Valera, actually offered condolences to Germany upon the death of Adolf Hitler. de Valera said it was standard diplomatic protocol, given that Ireland was not at war with Germany.
In the strictest sense, I suppose de Valera was right. But he sure didn’t win any friends among the Allies that day.
Two happy sounds.
For Obama, the Muslim Call to Prayer, the most beautiful sound he ever heard.
For good Americans: The sound of the splash as the Muslim stiff hit the waves going overboard.
State continues to be the single most heinous arm of this administration, and there are a LOT of candidates from which to choose.
Here’s what the message should have been.
“We’re sorry your butcher got axed. Get it? Axed!!! Ha, ha, ha, ha😂🤣😂🤣”
“ Obama did have Bin Laden’s body washed…”
I sure those sailors stood in line to help out.

I’m not sure I have a huge problem with this. Just so long as we simply feign sincerity and don’t really mean it.
Blinken is going to the funeral I am sure.
