The Fed only allows around 3% of their 40,000 sq miles to be cut and the state around 5% of their 10,000 sq miles. Imagine the production if they managed all those forests properly, it may be more than 20% lower cost for materials.
You hit on the problem we need private enterprise controlling forests,trees, etc. since the feds or states can’t do it right.
