I hate going to “graduations”. The damn joint sounds like the audience on “The Price Is Right” with all that retarded screaming and hollering. They turn into a circus and a flea market.
The worst part is having to sit through the featured speaker. I just told myself I'm here for my daughter or son and this day is not about me. So keep your political thoughts to yourself.
“and because our relatives sometimes do not know how to act,“
Comedy gold.
Didn’t attend my HS ceremony. Never regretted it. We went to the mountains instead.
Attended a big high school event in Atlanta. It was fun picking out which ones would finish college and which ones would be selling 'em drugs. The louder the family screaming, the better chance that their individual's education stopped right there. They knew.
My daughter's graduation ceremony is next week. From previous experience, I have no doubt that will be the case.
Last week was the honors ceremony where all the seniors were honored for their individual accomplishments. Despite repeated pleas from the principal, every time certain names were called, the hooping, screeching and hollering reached high decibels and endured so long parents often could not hear the name of the next child in line.
I imagine graduation will be much worse.
Recently attended a medical school graduation of a close friend's daughter from a local state University. Its top a 40-50 medical school in the nation
I incorrectly assumed that at such an event, people's families would behave better. Of course, everyone had to cheer (I guess one doesn't love one's child if one doesn't) and the DEI crowd often played their over-the-top ghetto part. I found it depressing, as these students will become the top surgeons and medical managers in the USA.
