you’re assuming they knew exactly what was going on which I doubt they did.
people have this romantic vision that intel agencies know exactly what is going on all the time.
have you ever noticed that whenever there is a large scale terror attack in the world, then somehow some news report says “that so-and-so intel agency had alerted the intel agency of the target country”?
a vast majority of this type of intel is speculation and bits and pieces. they rarely have the full picture of what is about to go down and when it will happen.
And why would the US need a warning from Mossad (or the MI6 or ANY other intel agency for 9/11????
the same people tried to blow up the same building only 8 years earlier!!! Wasn’t that enough of a warning??? Seems like the US intel should have been aware of what was going down on their own turf.

FWIW, some Freepers blamed the CIA after Oct 7 for not warning Israel about the attack, believing the CIA had better intel than the Mossad.
