Do stores in California not have plastic bags? I do a lot of shopping and don’t know of stores without plastic bags except Trader Joes, which has paper bags.
Plastic bags are outlawed in NY. When visiting my parents l, I bring them a stash of free state grocery bags.
California's stores have EXCELLENT plastic bags!
They're super big and thick. Really durable. Probably use about 5 times as much plastic as a regular grocery bag.
At $0.10 each, the cost increase to my grocery bill is negligible.
And I still only use them twice. First, to bring home my groceries and second as a trash can liner in the kitchen.
Same as I used the bags before.
