If I had a house covered with those things, I’d be GONE!! I hate them. My dogs used to eat them and of course, it would make them sick. But they had to go out to do their “job”, and, well, the critters were just there.
I love the sound of crickets in the distance. We haven’t had any for years. Mainly, I think, because of the drought here. We’ve never had katydids as far as I know. I haven’t even seen a grasshopper for ages, come to think of it. If only the skeeters would disappear! LOL! Life would be good.
Now...I’d best finish this show and hit the pillows. It’s been a good day, but time to end it for tomorrow...and tunes! See ya then. [sorry....]
It would be a little freaky to walk outside and see the house covered with them. Even with the big hatchings we had, they didn’t do that here.
The cats didn’t eat them, as far as I know, but they’d play with them a little. They were a bit afraid of them.
The crickets are out in force here. I stepped out a little while ago and they’re loud tonight. There’s still a month and a half or so before the katydids join the chorus.
A shame you don’t have crickets to enjoy. Just skeeters to pester you.
I’m off to the pillows too. I didn’t get to sleep until after 6:30 this morning. Catch ya tomorrow.
