MILTON, Fla. - A Florida father was arrested over the weekend after pulling an AR-15 rifle on an Uber driver who dropped his daughter off at his home, according to deputies.
Sean Hollonbeck, 54, of Milton, was taken to jail on charges of false imprisonment of a person and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
On May 4, shortly before 11 p.m., an Uber driver arrived at Hollonbeck's home to drop off the suspect's daughter.
The young female was still in the vehicle when she saw her father run up to the driver with an AR-15 in hand and force him to the ground, according to an arrest report.
Deputies said Hollonbeck pointed the gun in the driver's face and screamed at him to get out of the car, as his daughter went inside the home.
The report stated the daughter had friends over at the home who also witnessed the incident.
Hollonbeck forced the driver to show his driver's license before taking pictures of it and letting him go, deputies said.
According to the report, Hollonbeck admitted to his actions and said he was "afraid of his daughter's safety."
He was booked into the Santa Rosa County jail and later released after posting bond, jail records show. Fullscreen button

It’s Florida. What if the Uber driver started shooting when he saw this guy rushing at him with an AR? Guy was reckless at the very least.
Instead of using this for a defense, he should apologize publicly to the Uber driver and then tell everyone he really overreacted and screwed up.
He’s a veteran. He should just man up and admit he was wrong.
He wouldn’t be the first to screw up and admit he was wrong do what he did and it keeps his honor cleaner.
I saw this story on CNN this evening - what’s with people? Not limited to FL, I’m sure but really nuts! This is hard to watch..
I don’t know why the airman would have answered the door with a gun in his hands but the sudden action on the deputy’s part wasn’t understandable either. It was off base housing. I think the airman had a rifle and was holding it at his side..I didn’t go back and look at it again..
The attorney is the male Gloria Allred - Crump calling the airman a decorated hero officer on the news tonight and of course, he wasn’t corrected. Not just once but over and over several times...
Same for the driver that picked her up in Milton.
Adult men should know not to be alone in a vehicle with 13 year old girls.
Thanks for posting that link - I wondered where the information came from that wasn’t in the original thread link...
My mistake - I went back and looked and the airman did have a handgun down at his side....It’s not easy to watch as I said.
I know some Uber/Lyft drivers that have CCWs. This could have ended badly. Just saying.
He grossly overreacted. His daughter snuck out-I’d be angry too, putting a gun in the guy’s face was way out there. I’m grateful for hi service, but that’s no excuse.
True! Even smart, and probably defensable in a FL court, but lacks the factors reversed.
No excuse for naked Assumption, targeting a no-personal-threat, no weapon, innocent working guy/kid because you’re stupid.
But you’re right in a different scenario, Spot-On.
Imagine you are an Uber driver and you just picked up your 20th fare for the day.
Why would you call the police? I don't believe there are taxi or Uber rules that prevent a driver from transporting anyone. You're just driving from point A to point B. All day. Sometimes the "fare" is a food order.
He had to deny it was an overreaction, his only defense is that his reaction was justified under the circumstances. He’s already admitted to the actions themselves. This guy is wealthy and has connections. He doesn’t want to plead to a felony because then he loses his guns.
Watch they’ll let him plead to a non felony charge because he’s special. Anybody else wouldn’t get such a deal. I once had a layer named Hollonbeck, who was a partner at Nixon Peabody one of the largest law firms in the country. I wonder if this entitled nutjob might be his son.
More importantly— how does a 13 year old PAY for an Uber driver to pickup. She has a cell phone?
How did she “sneak out” of the location— The War Horse Project... Clearview St. Milton FL on the road out to Garcon Point Bridge across the bay from Pensacola. 22 miles acc to google maps. So she snuck out and did this Uber guy pick her up in the first place... if so, depending on his age- which for Uber is legal FL driver’s license age— 18 years old minimum— the dude is in a lot of trouble. The father is having issues, he is a physician- Navy Spec Ops MD combat veteran (meaning Iraq probably).
The AR was too much- maybe a small carry gun. But first, ask who the guy is and where he picked her up. things like that.
And possibly his 2A rights. Deservedly so.
I would not be picking up a fare that was a minor, to transport from one town to another.
Same as when I did service work; I would not go into a home where there no adults present, only teenager(s). I explained such the home owners and they agreed, they then understanding such a situation.
Thirteen olds that dress/makeup to to look older? Hands give away their age.
Still not sure and have doubts of fare’s age? Ask for ID.
Most likely, her parents set her up with an Uber account linked to their credit card. I was talking to my driver and was telling me has driven lots of kids around. Apparently it's quite common.
Equine therapy business he runs— targeted to veterans, but no doubt gets a lot of court assigned “rehab” types- dopers and such. So his 13 year old daughter might get roped into some P-cola dopers in that way. Don’t know who posted the female photo- but that is NOT a 13 year old. Trying to look older, and she looks high- maybe high thyroid common in female teenagers.
A lot of uber drivers have video cameras in their vehicles. This girl apparently had access to a credit card too. She sounds lie a spoiled rebellious kid whom daddy didn’t raise properly.
He won’t own a gun because that poor Uber driver is going to own him.
