The FBI and CIA Are Enemies of the American People
Mises Wire ^ | 04/23/2024 | Ryan McMaken

Posted on 05/07/2024 2:43:13 AM PDT by george76

Joe Rogan and Tucker Carlson sat down for a three-hour-plus discussion on the Joe Rogan Show last week, covering everything from UFOs, to religion and artificial intelligence. But perhaps the most important topic they covered was the insidious and dangerous role played by the US regime’s intelligence agencies in America.

Specifically, Carlson suggested the CIA continues to lobby for keeping the JFK files secret, possibly because the CIA had a role in the assassination. Tucker also brought up how the FBI’s second-in-command was responsible for taking down Richard Nixon. Carlson described how intelligence agencies hold immense power within Congress because members of Congress—who are generally disreputable people with many secrets—are terrified of being blackmailed. After all, in a post-Patriot Act world of nearly unrestrained spying by the US regime, there is no privacy in America.

I’ll let you, dear readers, listen to the full interview and make up your mind for yourselves as to the details of the discussion.

What I want to highlight here, however, is how remarkable it is that two major media figures—Rogan and Carlson—are announcing to their millions of listeners and readers that organizations like the CIA and the FBI are despicable agencies committed to undermining the legal and constitutional institutions of the United States.

This is long overdue.

Deep-state agencies like the CIA and the FBI have for far too long been considered reputable organizations just trying to “keep us safe” or somehow defend the United States from alleged foreign threats. Conservatives have long been among the worst offenders. Libertarians know this well, and have observed for decades the breed of “small-government” conservatives who one minute claim “the government can’t do anything right” and then the next minute simp for “heroic” CIA and FBI agents. People such as these have long checked their critical thinking skills at the door as soon as the discussion turns to the regime’s spy agencies—or the Pentagon, for that matter. This is not to say that Leftists are guiltless on this. While historically it was the Left that actually made some efforts to expose intelligence agencies and their crimes in the 1970s, that is now ancient history. The Left in 2024 has rarely met a regime spook it didn’t like. This was made explicit last month when Adam Westbrook and Lindsey Crouse declared in The New York Times that “the Deep State is actually kind of awesome.”

The job of opposing these contemptible enemies of freedom at America’s intelligence agencies—especially the FBI and CIA and NSA—falls to the minority of Americans who actually care about law and human rights enough to seek true restraints on regime power. Those of us in this minority must never miss an opportunity to disparage, doubt, question, and generally express loathing for these organizations and for every single agent and employee at these agencies who collects a taxpayer-funded salary.

A Danger for Many Decades

Since at least the early 1960s, many have understood that the post-war intelligence agencies have posed an especially dangerous threat to the people of the United States. For example, exactly one month after Kennedy’s assassination—surely, just a coincidence!—former president Harry Truman expressed alarm about the CIA’s meddling in domestic affairs. He wrote in The Washington Post: “For some time I have been disturbed by the way CIA has been diverted from its original assignment. It has become an operational and at times a policy-making arm of the Government. This has led to trouble and may have compounded our difficulties in several explosive areas. ...I never had any thought that when I set up the CIA that it would be injected into peacetime cloak and dagger operations.”

Then as now, however, The Washington Post was an arm of the deep state and the editor buried Truman’s op-ed on Page A11. The CIA was outraged enough by the column, however, that CIA director Allen Dulles lied and claimed that Truman had been “quite astounded“ when he saw his own article and that the whole thing was really the work of a Truman aide.

This bizarre attempt by CIA operative to “retract” Truman’s article was nonetheless contradicted by Truman himself who reiterated in a 1964 letter that Truman had only intended the CIA to be an informational service for the president, and that “[I]t was not intended to operate as an international agency engaged in strange activities.” Truman would later tell an interviewer that “[I]f I’d known what was going to happen, I never would have [created the CIA.]”1

Of course, Truman may have known about many of the CIA’s “strange activities” by the late 1950s, such as MKULTRA, and related “mind control” experiments with LSD and other drugs. The CIA was known to drug the agency’s victims against their will, such as seven black inmates in Kentucky who were were fed “’double, triple and quadruple’ doses of LSD for 77 straight days.” One might also mention the very suspicious case of Frank Olson, a bioweapons expert who was given LSD by CIA agents without his knowledge. Olson later “fell” to his death from a hotel window in 1953. The agency lied about drugging Olson for 22 years.

The CIA faced some scrutiny in the wake of the Vietnam war as the Left began to rein in the deep state which had spent years attempting to destroy American opponents of the war through a variety of dirty tricks. Yet, the agency had hardly been “reformed” by the time the US’s “war on terror” was launched in late 2001. The CIA returned to its illegal medical torture—assuming it had ever stopped—with new medical experiments on regime prisoners. Documents uncovered by the ACLU have shown that CIA doctors are still used to provide a veneer of scientific legitimacy to CIA torture programs. In the age of vaccine passports, this alliance between doctors and the CIA should alarm any defender of human rights.

In spite of all this, the CIA continues to fail spectacularly at its original mission of collecting useful information. The CIA failed to see the Iranian Revolution coming. The CIA was clueless about Soviet Missiles shipped to Cuba in 1962. The CIA believed the Soviet Union was an economic powerhouse in the 1980s. And, of course, the CIA let 9/11 happen right under its nose.

Given all this, even conservative stalwarts have seen the light on the CIA in recent years. The late Angelo Codevilla, for example, penned a 2020 article calling for “breaking up” the CIA. The CIA, Codevilla notes, is now so “ideologically partisan,” so “obsolete,” and its record of failure so undeniable, that the agency is now “inherently dangerous and low-value.”

End the FBI

The CIA isn’t alone in its war on American freedom and decency, however. The FBI is almost equally dangerous, which is why Codevilla also calls for the FBI to be “restricted to law enforcement.”

Unknown to many Americans, the FBI doesn’t even consider itself to be a law enforcement agency anymore. The FBI is now a “national security” agency, and that means the FBI is an arm of the American spy regime. This, of course, is why the Department of Justice can now be used for blatantly political purposes such as when the FBI spied on candidate Donald Trump in 2016.

Here at mises.org, we’ve already reported on the mixture of abuse and incompetence that characterizes the FBI. The FBI expends countless hours tracking down harmless “enemies” of the regime—such as little old ladies prosecuted for the January 6 riot—while ignoring real criminals like Larry Nassar. Nor surprisingly, local police will tell you it’s the state and local police who do the real work of tracking down real criminals, and then the FBI swoops in to take the credit.

Moreover, the history of the FBI lends substantial plausibility to Tucker Carlson’s claim that intelligence agencies are in the business of blackmailing members of Congress. This is a known tactic employed by J. Edgar Hoover during this 48-year reign at the FBI. Hoover, of course, was lauded for decades as a hero, but in reality, he was, in the words of historian Beverly Gage, a “one-dimensional tyrant and backroom schemer who strong-armed the rest of the country into submission...the most influential federal appointee of the twentieth century.” Hoover and his army of compliant FBI agents spied on anyone and everyone—especially elected officials and other public figures—who might be useful as a target for blackmail.

So, what to do with these agencies?

There is nothing that these agencies do that could justify their continued existence. Both agencies—neither of which in their present forms are authorized among the enumerated powers of the US constitution—were sold to the taxpayers as agencies to be used only against hardened criminals and foreign dictators. Today, these organizations spend their time exploiting the taxpayers for ever larger budgets, for ever more power to spy on Americans, and new ways to trick those same Americans into supporting the regime’s latest wars.

They are, simply put, the regime’s secret police, devoted to building the regime’s power. One answer is to eviscerate their budgets, repeal their enabling legislation, and encourage aggressive lawfare against the regime in retribution for these agencies’ many crimes. That’s probably a best-case scenario. Other scenarios likely require the bankruptcy of the regime, or perhaps its dissolution. That is likely to come with substantial and negative economic effects in the short term. Unfortunately, many Americans are still enthralled to these organizations thanks to relentless state propaganda that tells us this American version of the KGB exists for our own good. Abolition will clearly take time. Now is a good time to start.

perservere with opening minutes with some volume problems.

more investigation needed re Bathan Wolfe/Metabiota....Wolfe is also connected to EcoHealth Alliance, see his Wikipedia page, tho I don’t think McCormick mentions that.

however, this interview needs to go viral. much to be learned from it:

Rumble: 1hr: 6 May: Jerome Corsi: The Case to Impeach and Imprison Biden from an Eyewitness, His former Stenographer
Dr. Jerome Corsi talks with former White House Stenographer Mike McCormick, who traveled the world with Vice President Joe Biden from 2011 to 2017, publishing a compilation of what he witnessed during that time in his new book: The Case to Impeach and Imprison Joe Biden.
McCormick’s eyewitness account follows a timeline of Vice President Joe Biden’s White House activities, dealings with Ukraine and other countries, unethical Biden family business practices, cross-referenced with emails from the verified Hunter Biden Laptop and Obama White House documents — some of which are transcripts McCormick prepared as part of his stenographer duties.
Dr. Corsi and McCormick break down and examine the evidence presented in the book as proof of Biden’s criminal, perhaps treasonous actions, selling out of the nation and political maneuvering which should bear Congressional investigation should members be brave enough to do so.

The FBI and CIA aren’t the enemy of the people. Their leaders are and should we ever see Trump back in office, the first thing he should do is fire every head and second in command of every agency, as well as any Biden/Obama appointments. Then bring them up on charges of sedition and imprison them at Gitmo.

The use of a government’s resources for the quest of knowledge to control others....

Today, we have a political party in the DNC that is morphing before our very eyes into an anti-American and anti-Constitutional Marxist entity hell bent on taking over and using the levers of power against those who shoult live freely without opposition from their fellow citizens. Even the introduction of non-citizens into the country is calculated to destroy what this nation has always been. We must become a welfare state in order to support all the new people who are not able to enter society on an equal footing with those who have been working - and yet our school system is designed to create Americans who are unable to compete with the very immigrants who can assilimate into an Information Age society. Today, that Information Age is simply social media and the Internet, and people have less knowledge about Natural laws and useful information that they may as well be living in the stone ages.

Read the Indictment Against Henry Cuellar to Understand Why Congress Never Challenges the Intelligence Community

May 6, 2024 | Sundance | 330 Comments

There is a rather remarkable indictment against congressman Henry Cuellar (D-Texas, CD-28) that everyone should read.  You might remember that Cuellar was openly critical of the Biden border crisis in the latter half of 2021.  Approximately a few weeks after Cuellar was openly and strongly criticizing Biden, FBI agents raided his home {BACKSTORY}.

At the time of the FBI raid (January 2022), everyone noted the visible connection between Cuellar’s criticism of Biden and the launch of the DOJ investigation against him.  The timing was just too convenient.

Last Friday an indictment was unsealed.  Representative Cuellar and his wife are each charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit bribery of a federal official and to have a public official act as an agent of a foreign principal, two counts of bribery of a federal official, two counts of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, two counts of violating the ban on public officials acting as agents of a foreign principal, one count of conspiracy to commit concealment money laundering, and five counts of money laundering.

Interestingly, the charges and the activity date back to 2014 and continue over the next ten years culminating in the indictment a decade later.

I would strongly urge people to read THE 54-PAGE INDICTMENT.

What you realize when you read the indictment is exactly what we have talked about on these pages for well over a decade, the business end of American politics.

Cuellar and his wife are a case study in how the average federal politician gets wealthy from selling their office.

All of the DC politicians participate in this type of influence selling.  There are ZERO federal elected officials who do not participate in this process.  And within that dynamic, we find the answer to how the Intelligence Community exists to control all of the DC political systems without any checks in their authority.

One of the primary reasons the Intelligence Community was so fast to join the effort to eliminate the threat Donald Trump, represented in 2016, was specifically due to the lack of corrupt activity (IC blackmail) that could be leveraged against him.  Absent the ability to control the target, the IC must create leverage.

The intelligence institutions, in collaboration with the weaponized justice institutions, created the fourth branch of government.  It was this system that was fine-tuned by Barack Obama and Eric Holder to target their political opposition.

Representative Henry Cuellar is a warning to the other compromised people in Washington DC not to challenge the administrative state.  The “six ways to Sunday” groups will focus on anyone who threatens the system or breaks the code of Omerta.

Don’t read anyone else’s interpretation of it; instead, read the indictment [SEE HERE].

Then ask yourself if the DOJ/FBI knew this stuff for so long, why did they wait?

“I want to be clear that both my wife and I are innocent of these allegations. Everything I have done in Congress has been to serve the people of South Texas,” Cuellar said in his statement, later adding: The actions I took in Congress were consistent with the actions of many of my colleagues and in the interest of the American people.” (LINK)

If it were up to me, I would remove all the DEI from the Military and make them the sole Intelligence Agencies, with the National Guards as the CONUS aparatus giving input to DOD. The NG is the civilian community warriors organization, and the DOD components each have their global missions. The military should ensure the politicians do not trample the Constitution or the Courts, with help from the NG, holding tribunals for those accused of Treason or other crimes against the States and Nation or it’s citizens.

The professional military bureaucracy has also become the standing army the founding fathers warned against. The Camp Lejeune water poisoning of over two million Marines, dependents, and civilian base workers is a prime example.

At Lejeune the water was contaminated with a a stew of poisonous chemicals for over 30 years. Base commanders and other senior officers, with knowledge did nothing to address the situation, choosing silence, I.e. career management, over the safety of their troops and families. Once the problem became too obvious in the 1980’s it took years to fix the water supply, during which known decommissioned contaminated wells were put back in service from time to time.

During the 1990’s and 2000 ‘s Marine Corps, Department of the Navy, Veterand Affairs, and DOD bureaucracies stonewalled efforts of Veterans to receive treatment for the cancers and other diseases disproportionately plaguing people who bathed in and drank the poison. Former dependents living on the base, and civilian workers were completely blocked. It took years of hearings before Congress recognized the issue and acted with legislation requiring the VA to provide treatment to military personnel, dependents, and civilian workers for 15 medical conditions studies proved were linked to Lejeune water. Congress though failed to appropriate additional funds to pay for the treatment so the VA bureaucracy continued to stonewall and deny claims for two more decades. Many victims perceived the federal government bureaucrats were simply stalling to wait out the clock while the victims died off.

Finally Congress acted in recent years with legislation allowing victims to sue the federal government and win monetary damages. This legislation was primarily a boondoggle for big donor tort law firms who flooded the airways with advertising designed to find and sign up people who lived and worked at Lejeune during the three decades of contamination for group lawsuits. Attorneys take 40% of each judgement and the amounts the victims ultimately receive in no way compensate them for medical costs, lost work, as well as pain and suffering experienced over the decades of denial, stonewalling, and deceit. Congress, the military, and the federal bureaucracy have now put the Lejeune victims behind them and at the same time handed over millions of dollars to tort lawyers who will recycle some of the cash back into the campaign coffers of politicians.

The founding fathers knew big centralized governments always become self serving, corrupt and tyrannical. Every department and agency of the federal government is bloated and corrupt including the professional military. Congress, the judiciary and the executive branch are also corrupt, tyrannical and often incompetent as the Lejeune example demonstrates.

It is beyond repair.

Since they take their marching orders from the MIC and globalists they will just fill the vacuum with more just like them. Or give them an offer they can’t refuse to force them to be traitors like what happened with Mike Johnson.

Another problem is they have the power of almost total independence as an agency. There is very little government control or oversight at all. And folks who get too nosey just disappear. Even if Trump replaced the heads of these agencies, which is his only power, the circles below them in rank will still operate independently and be subversive and loyal to the globalists. They will take down their own leader from inside.

Only way to stop it is to abolish them both. And congress will never do that, they are heavily invested in the global agenda too.

Absolutely right on the money. I was going to mention the very same thing. The DoD is all in with the subversion of our Republic. They are no longer loyal to our nation, they are loyal to the MIC corporations who are owned and loyal to the globalists. Ironically so is the DHS.

What we are seeing right now is a joint CIA, FBI, DHS and DoD military operation against the citizens of this country just like they have done many times in other countries. We now have a military that would indeed fire on American citizens if ordered to do so. They already are with DoD digital intelligence assets.

The main actor and coordinator behind this joint operation against our Republic is the Atlantic Council. They are behind the election steal, the Trump impeachments, and the current irrational illogical chaos in this country.

People need to understand that when the leadership is taken over by Deep State operatives they immediately began purging the ranks of “dissent”, and replacing/hiring only “like minded” individuals who will protect the Deep State at the expense of Liberty. It’s called “lockstep”, and this is true not only in government, but in the private sector as well.

I have a close friend who served in Vietnam and then spent most of his career stationed at Camp Lejeune, who is dying of bladder cancer. He blames the water at Lejeune but so far, the VA hasn't helped him.

He is another one who thinks that the government is just waiting for him to die.

Yep, absolutely. And here is the problem. The way government is organized once someone is hired they cannot be fired. And they are given full powers of their “Department” without oversight or checks. They are basically God and there is no appeal over their heads. Their superiors will back them up even if they are in the wrong.

Anyone who has ever had to deal with the Dept of the interior/BLM can testify to how it works. That one local “Dog Catcher” field office agent is given the power to make up their own laws on the fly and there is absolutely no avenue of appeal over their heads. They are the Gods of their local domain and cannot, and will not be questioned period.
