Every politician who voted for these unconstitutional laws needs to be removed from office.

I used to have a lot of respect for Benjamin Netanyahu.
That was then.
This is now.

I agree. Free speech is frèe speech. There is no constitutional ammendment protecting people from words.
Free speech also allows you to know who is crazy, dangerous or sometimes even the voice of reason because they talk freely.

Every politician who voted for these unconstitutional laws needs to be removed from office. Unpopular opinion: maybe the people who voted them into office are the real problem.

> Gov. Kristi Noem signed legislation into the South Dakota civil rights statute that codified some forms of speech critical of Israel as a form of illegal discrimination. Not surprised.

It sure is and many Republicans have voted in favor of this. So when they go around bloviating about how much they love the constitution you know it’s all fake. What they really love is the money they get from AIPAC.

Unfortunately legislation like this is likely to have the opposite effect of what they intended. Ignoring the 1st amendment all together in an attempt to silence speech they don’t like will only serve to enrage people and make many of them more antisemitic. Whoever thought this up obviously didn’t think things through. And obviously didn’t give a thought to it being unconstitutional either.

H.R. 6090 is unconstitutional! It violates the First Amendment.
To: jimwatx
I would not support the bill because it deals with the Department of Education, and said Department should t exist, along with many others.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see what the Senate does. Hard to believe they could possibly pass it but then it’s hard to believe the House would pass it either but here we are. Whatever they do I can’t imagine the Federal courts would allow this to stand. It’s just so blatantly unconstitutional even a grade school student would know that.
