My 2007 Honda Odyssey, also known as The Mighty Kong, is on it’s second transmission. I love this mighty beast. I need to get the sliding door mechanisms replaced, and I need to fix an oil leak in the engine — but the Great Ape/Seventh Wonder of the World is paid for, reliable, comfy and has THE BEST sound system in the world (Rivethead that I am, I need to listen to my Germanic/Belgian industiral bands with sonic purity...)
A new transmission is always cheaper than a new car if you think about it. Kong may not be pretty and enviable... but he’s paid for.
Mine's a 2006. it's on second engine at 140k miles only because the dealer mechanic who did the (scheduled) cam-belt replacement botched the job. (Wkat did I just say about finding competent mechanics?)
A friend's has cracked 250k; her only major problem has been those dammed power sliders. Love mine to bits. Perfect car for an old fart with mobility issues.

A lot cheaper. I replaced my ‘09 Camry’s transmission with a junkyard find. No problem so far (20,000 miles on it now).
My other car, a 2000 Suburban, is like new. Had a noisy differential rebuilt somewhere along the way.
I’d like to have cars with backup cameras but it’s not worth the cost.
We have a 2006 Odyssey. I replaced the sliding door rollers myself. Next on the list is the front axles and control arms as it makes a racket going over bumps. That will be a bit more of a challenge for me but I think I can handle it. It hasn’t been problem free - but has done pretty well over the years.
I have a newer truck that I save for work, but just driving around town I use a 1997 Buick LeSabre. My son’s girlfriend borrowed it for the day. Dropped it back off and said “that’s a really sweet ride!”.
