Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has agreed to join House Speaker Mike Johnson on an invitation for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address a joint meeting of Congress — weeks after the Brooklyn Democrat urged a new election in the Jewish state with the aim of removing the PM from office.
“Sen. Schumer intends to join the invitation, the timing is being worked out,” a spokesman for Schumer’s office told The Post on Friday.
Netanyahu, 74, has addressed Congress three times, with his last speech delivered months before the Obama administration signed on to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.
The only other foreign leader to address joint meetings of Congress three times was British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, who did so in 1941, 1943 and 1952.

Ya stay away Nancy will have the women dress in Palestinian colors
I wonder what antics The Squad will pull.
Does Schumer want to berate Bibi in person??
Its a trap!
And Republicans are an obstacle to democracy.......
I better not see any Israeli flags waving in Congress. I will be pissed.
He should say the US congress is a joke and leave it at that.
Bibi is a political maestro and I guess they need Bibi to window dress their tainted corrupt leadership of Congress.
For two months I’ve been talking about the “Two DemoKKKrat Civil Wars.” They can’t win either. This is Civil War #1, namely Hamas/Pales v Israel/Jews. Obviously the DemoKKKRats were feeling serious heat from Jewish voters.
Unfortunately, its more likely you will see Palestinian flags being waved in Congress.
Bibi won’t do it but he should tell Schumer to GTH
Well, at least the tax-paid Congress is doing something “constructive”
albeit for a foreign entity, not (God forbid) for American taxpayers who foot the bills.
The tax-paid Congress is giving Bibi a political platform b/c
Bibi is struggling to get reelected after dropping the ball on Oct 7.
So what is the point of this visit? Israel has already received their aid package. What more do they want?
Netanyahu should definitely tell them to GFT but it would be better if he just stated he doesn’t feel safe coming to America with all the antisemitism protestors around the States and definitely not with the Hamas wing of Congress.
Ride with them, hang with them.
We know who Johnson rides with.
Not if he values his teeth.
Netanyahu’s support in Israel is only like 6% so there’s zero chance of him being reelected. Is he coming here to lobby the Senate to pass the unconstitutional anti-1st amendment “Antisemitism Awareness Act”? Or to tell us we need to take Iran down for him? Either way the answer should be a big “NO” to both. I’m really getting sick of this arrogant prick. Watch our pathetic and corrupt Congress embarrass themselves again by falling all over him and kissing his azz. Netanyahu better fly direct because there’s likely to be an ICC warrant out for him by that time.
Agreed.
Bibi has better and more important things to do than talk to those yahoos in DC....they ought to try being productive themselves.
