Good for them. Aside from being morally correct and constitutionally correct, it's just smart. Armed citizens are not likely to approve of an attempt to forcibly disarm them.

To be fair, this guy probably was an actual scumbag criminal.

The point is that an armed individual, determined not to be taken alive, exacted a high price for his death.
Better. I just made up something random. I worked for a university. Our department made pronouns mandatory in our email signature. That lasted less than a week and happened before anyone could address me as “Your Lordship”.

This has NOTHING to do with any instances of illegality performed in the past of Government malfeasance and you know it. There are no lessons to learn here other than a felon executed four officers who were LEGALLY carrying out their duties.
Does anyone have more information on what his initial felony was for? The one that got him reclassified as a “prohibited person” that sparked this whole shoot out?
The only thing I’ve been able to find so far is that he was a felon in possession of a firearm for a previous felony... of owning a firearm.

As with the Airport Admin in Arkansas and the homebuilder in New York were both “felons” in the eyes of the FedGov because they exercised their 2A Rights in ways our Federal overlords didn’t like.

I have no sympathy for this cop killer whatsoever. I’m just flummoxed that he was able to invoke so much carnage before he was taken.
