Seriously. The draining of the swamp is so needed. And that can never be done through normal political jaw-boning and horse-trading within Congress. Ridiculous to even consider that approach. No, the cleaning we require is going to require military tribunals and a lot of extra-Constitutional activity. And in my opinion, politicians and media people who put up a fuss should go straight into solitary confinement for 3 years or so.

The Democrats don't expect ever to lose power. The US will be like Mexico, where one party won all of the Presidential elections for decades (the only uncertainty was who would become the party's nominee). They don't expect the Republicans ever to be in a position to inflict payback.

Anyway the federal bureaucracy and the judicial system is mostly filled with Democrats who will be able to nullify most attempts by a Republican President to clean up the mess.
