If joesbucks has been doing the democrats’ bidding - whether deliberately or unintentionally - I hope he will realize that we need R’s in office in order to defeat the Deep State, and that is the war of our day.
I do know that the Deep State has its people to try to influence the public through various fora. Sometimes people get sucked into the mantras that appeal to a person’s emotions. As I said, about a week ago I was ready to rip Mike Flood a new one. My emotions were in control. But then I realized we have a good line-up of people and circumstances to actually take on the Deep State, and that is the most important. Flood might be compromised. Johnson and Trump might have worked out a back-handed way for the money to Ukraine to backfire. I don’t know everything that goes into the votes. But I do know that the D’s will keep the Deep State in power, and there are R’s who are willing to take it on, if we can just get/keep them in positions to do so. My brain is telling my emotions that I need to be smart and intentional.
And that’s what we can do for each other here. We can be a place to bitch and moan, but then pick ourselves up and do the actual fighting. We do need to be aware, though, of how our bitching and moaning here can impact real action. We can so discourage people that they give up. And/or we can have our griping here REPLACE the real fighting we should be doing.
I’ve mentioned that I need the legal eagles here to weigh in on some things that we the people and/or our state officials can actually do to impact the Deep State. I don’t know who those legal eagles are, but I’d really like it if we could brainstorm here in the hopes of actually doing something real and not just being content to bitch and moan. I think FR used to be a place of action. We need that more than ever now but I think the place is depressed because of troll flame wars and just general demoralization efforts. Do you have any idea how we could activate things here?
If you’ll go through kiryandil’s posting history, you’ll find they primarily tear down and disparage those who don’t align with their worldview and contribute very little if at all to discussions of the information presented or with new threads open for discussion.
Good question. I think a lot of the stuff like Ive been discussing, like Jordan and Comer’s hearings that seem to keep coming up empty, have hurt. I know a lot of people like the show and fireworks, but serious people want results. And results have been slow in coming, if at all.
As the tools have thinned here over the years there has been a loss of people who seemed to have organizational skills. And many folks, including our leader having simply gotten older and more frail.
