Nearly word-for-word what I was writing before seeing you already did - awesome. The lack of proper parenting in this era has most to do with it. Trying to be kid's buddies instead of parents, lacking backbone to punish for bad behaviors, missing critical signals because of self-absorption...and NO UNIFYING FAMILY ACTIVITIES while those that are attended find people too distracted by their phone/computers to pay proper attention to their actual family.
I find the internet an amazing tool for expanding knowledge but recognized TikTok was an evil use of it by someone bent on falsely making insecure people feel empowered, making the lesser talented feel adulation and making idiots spreading bad advice seem wise. Only later did I learn it was a Chinese psy-op.
Someone advise that guy in the Oval Office they're waging war on us.
He's what? How much money? Son, too?
"Never mind."
When I first saw the ads for Tik-Tok as a *dance video* I thought they were horrible. People acting like complete fools and posting it.
I would have been embarrassed to at or look like that in public and here they are posting it online.
And people posting the most mundane details of their lives for the whole world to see, as if anyone even cares.
Technology has been a two edged sword. It definitely has added convenience in our lives but it has destroyed much of what is good and has real value..... relationships.
