I have known quite a few of them. I have several friends who served on presidental details or top government official details. Every single one of them was competent and a self-starter who knew what needed to be done without being given directions. They were pro’s.
Conversely, I know a lot of “Americans” in the CIA. They all openly hate republicans and Trump. They are essentially communists. The same goes for my last employer at the State Department.
The Army when I retired in 94 was beginning to crack up. When I went into Army Civil Service in 1999 and left in 2004, that civil service in Europe was full of non-performing women hires in authority/supervisory positions who relied on their deputy’s to function.
These days when I am on Fort Liberty (Bragg), the soldiers are shy about taking to you. If in a group none will speak to you. If you can find an NCO or officer alone with more than 5-years in, they will spill their guts about how bad it is. The Army suffers from a lack of support personnel able to maintain their equipment, especially vehicles. It seems that they are just too stupid, too lazy, or woke to work. The White Officers and NCOs will tell you the horrors of DEI or the White Appology Tour and classes. One thing is for sure, many of them will not miss their soldiers if they are killed in combat - many feel the Army needs a bloody nose in order to put it’s pants on one leg at a time again.
So the SS is falling to the incompetent now. Maybe the reason they pulled Trumps SS protection is because there are not enough leftover competent enough to protect this administration... naw, it was vindictive.

Recently, I fixed the front door of a U.S. Post Office, and I restored to placement and function, the front doors of an office building.
Not my line of work. Nobody asked me to; I just did it - to get it done. Then, there, just like that. (I did ask the kind lady at the U.S.P.S., if that quick repair would be OK? She smiled.)
