I’m wishing you the best, and praying for your complete, uneventful recovery. What a thing to have to face. I’ve lost two friends to pancreatic cancer, and one to bowel cancer. Each was found in its last stages. Thankfully, yours is found earlier while a successful outcome is more likely.
Still, you face a heavy burden.
Thanks. A Whipple procedure wasn't on my bingo card for 2024. Hoping to return to full time employment once released from the hospital. I'll have a better grasp on the path forward after the pathology department examines the extracted parts of my digestive tract. They take nearby lymph nodes "just in case". Often there is a follow-up with radiation or chemo to mop up anything missed. Having experienced 3000 RADs through my gut in 1985, I'm not anxious for a repeat.
