I work for a large multi family developer in Dallas. To compare, I plucked out one of our properties in Southlake. Texas. Total cost per unit was $187,500.

we’re moving beyond that: A Margaritaville resort in Galveston, and a huge residential development in Midlothian.

Most of our properties are in the Southeast, I know of no plans to build in California or NY…lol.

WE have one of these encampments near my home, built at a cost of $4million. Its been open for the past 3 years. Has tall walls topped with concertina wire, like a prison camp. Great for property values.

It’s empty, except for the city workers/security/doctors/cooks/maintence guys, all of whom sit around all day collecting paycheks waiting for someone to show up.

I’d be surprised if it ever opened, or that the $120mil price tags turns into $500mil to finish, then watch as the “new residents” trash the place in 6 months.
