Marjorie Taylor Greene calls on Johnson to resign after foreign aid bills pass: ‘If he doesn’t do so, he will be vacated’

Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Sunday said House Speaker Mike Johnson “betrayed” Republican voters after the House approved new aid to Ukraine, threatening to call a vote for his ouster if he doesn’t resign.

“Mike Johnson’s speakership is over. He needs to do the right thing to resign and allow us to move forward in a controlled process. If he doesn’t do so, he will be vacated,” Greene said on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”

After months of resisting putting a foreign aid bill on the House floor, Johnson joined with Democrats on Saturday to advance a $95 billion foreign aid package, which contains $61 billion for Ukraine and regional partners. The legislation – which passed with the support of 210 Democrats and 101 Republicans – now heads to the Senate, which is expected to give final approval this week.

Should Greene and her supporters make good on their threat to force a vote on ousting him as speaker, Johnson will almost certainly need to rely on Democrats to bail him out.

The Georgia hardliner is one of at least three Republicans who have said they will support a move to oust Johnson — whose majority is so slim he cannot afford to lose any Republicans on a party-line vote.

“ Republicans will certify the election, democrats will not. Good grief they are already talking about it.‘

you’ve got more faith than me. In the last 90 days Johnson has

1. Passed a 1.6 trillion dollar spending bill that has more progressive pork than you can imagine;

2. Passed a warrentles FISA spying bill that allows for unlimited spying on American citizens; and

3. 250 billion dollars in foreign military aid including 9 billion for Hamas.

How in the world were we any worse under Pelosi?

Only if she can guarantee that no Republicans will resign to allow Democrats to have the majority and allow them to take over the House along with the Rats then not allowing Trump to take Presidency if he were to win.

That's what the RINOs have planned regardless of what MTG does.

Because it’s ridiculous for her to undermine the House leadership when it’s teetering on the edge.

And she’s wrong on this issue.

MTG is determined to make Hakeem Jeffries Speaker.

It's the RINOs who have purposely timed their resignations in order that no republican replaces them. It's already the RINO plan to make Jeffries the Speaker. This is how the Uniparty will make sure Trump does not become president. Our party is infested with traitors.

And how do you think we will elect a new speaker we only have a one seat majority. Do you want to totally disable the house and anger the electorate while the Dems keep repeating republicans can’t govern. Do you also want the committees led by democrats?

Maybe Mike Johnson shouldn't have expelled George Santos from Congress. Would be nice to have his vote now.

All part of the RINO plan to give the House to the Dems in order to keep Trump out.

“The woman is an idiot.“

No she is not. Someone has to fight for us. Only about 50 R reps voted against the bill and the rule change that allowed it. That is how few there are. This is why we always lose these battles.

Lose the house. Hand all three over to the democrats for the last 6 months (and possibly 4 years).

Handcuff Trump so he has to fight that much harder against a dem house and senate if we do manage to fight the cheat machine.

How glaring is all that. Yet some people can’t see it, don’t get it, or don’t want to see it or admit it.

Some of these people have BVS, battered voter syndrome. They keep getting cheated, lied to and economically gang raped but keep going back for more abuse. It’s widespread.

It’s not my fault you are ignorant of Ukraine’s obvious strategic value.

What strategic value. They have zero strategic value for us none. Other than the graft they can funnel to house representatives.

I agree with her on just about everything. I understand her objections to the foreign aid bills. It sticks in my craw, too, that we're spending billions to help other countries defend their borders but leave ours open.

But that's not a spending issue: it's the criminal "Biden" regime. There's nothing the House can try that won't get turned down in the Senate or vetoed. They could try shutting down the government but that turns into a political death march for the Republicans every time they do it, so they won't try.

The foreign aid bill is a leak in the dam. Fighting over the speakership to the point of getting a Dem speaker because more RINOs resign or defect on key votes is opening the floodgates because you're peeved there's a leak.

Do you think Johnson is going to stop listening to his deep state briefings when Trump is in office?

When a Vindman tells him Trump’s policies are dangerous, or Trump should be Investigated again?

Play it out.

The same reasons he’s with Dems today will be there after Trump is Elected. And Traitor Mike does his traitor thing.

1. A Democrat house and senate can make abortion legal, President would sign it.
2. A Democrat house could vote 100 billion to Ukraine, senate would approve, president would sign
3. Democrats house could pass bill forgiving all student debt, senate would pass, president would sign
4 Democrats house could pass amnesty for 30 million illegals, senate would pass, president would sign

Want me to go on? Look at the kind of people we have in the house and senate.
