Do you mean you have a problem with removing control of a major media sensation like Tik Tok, watched/used by millions of our young people, from Chinese control?? If it is a profitable business, someone else will buy it.
It’s the downstream ramifications of the ban that I’m concerned with. This is the proverbial camels nose. Just like the “Patriot Act” those that trust this precedent setting legislation will only be used for good may be sorely disappointed. I don’t have those aspersions as I know downstream it will be used to further erode our rights. Some the have already analyzed the bill have the same fears. While I understand your position we are now living in a brave new world where the left is intent on jamming down as much evil legislation as possible before the election and the Tik Toc ban is a major piece of that.
I thought the left was busy supporting anything that enhances the communist agenda. Which would certainly still be the Chinese/North Korea agenda. As for Putin he is still trying to revive the old Soviet Nation with the red hammer and sickle flag, as I have noted in other specific detailed comments.
I would have to know more of the details about whomever might want to buy out the Chinese or under what legal language they would have to bid to .
