The Israeli attack on an Iranian air base in Isfahan hit a crucial part of an air defense system, a New York Times analysis of satellite imagery found.

Images showed that the precision attack at the Eighth Shekari Air Base damaged or destroyed the “flap-lid” radar, which is used in S-300 air defense systems to track incoming targets.

The Times used several satellite images in its analysis; the location of the damaged area was first pointed out on the social media platform X by Aurora Intel, and the findings have also been confirmed by a former U.S. government imagery analyst, Chris Biggers.

Iran’s attack on Israel was not designed to do damage.
It was designed to provoke or elicit a military response from Israel so that the Ayatollahs could evaluate Israeli defenses and capabilities.
This was a standard procedure ‘Simple Simon’ military procedure, which is why there were no casualties.
This is a ‘cat and mouse’ process, with each side testing each other’s capabilities and resolve, as well as both world and US political support.
The real test could come this week, with Passover observance in Israel an inviting target for Iran.
However, it’s unlikely that the Israelis will be caught off guard a second time.
The wild card is the rumored possibility of an Iran atomic device within days or weeks. If true, this would upset the proverbial Apple Cart on a major scale.

To be clear, thanks to the enemy-supporting idiocy of the Biden administration, Israel missed its only chance to eliminate the Iranian progress toward building the nuclear weapon. The Iranians have already proven that they have delivery systems and sufficient accuracy to hit Israel - and likely the United States if they have solved the warhead reentry issues, so we are in very dangerous territory.

If the Israelis have been cowed by Biden's (Obama's) gang into missing this critical opportunity, we are all going to suffer and soon.
