Damn it, I fought for that vision. And got a lot of hell for it.
Now I wonder, what was the point of it all.
That is still a remarkable vision that Reagan gave us. But the nation is too corrupted, too rotted, than for it to be anything but a fast-receding memory.
We are hellbent on driving toward a calamity the likes of which the Founders could not imagine.
Maybe it's for the best. Maybe we need to fall, and learn a hard lesson. Maybe this is what is needed for us to vanquish the cowardly, the corrupt, the "progressive" from our midst for all time.
This is going to end, one way or another. It's just a question of whose corpses will litter the path.
I know and am related to dead and disabled service people. Never in my life did I have the thoughts or willingness I do now.
” That is still a remarkable vision that Reagan gave us. But the nation is too corrupted, too rotted, than for it to be anything but a fast-receding memory. “
You are almost there.
Once you realize that Reagan and Thatcher were a big part of the problem, you will start to see it clearly.
It took me a long to time to internalize that Reagan and Thatcher they were actually accelerationists of Progressivism, and not opponents.
What we can see now as the biggest problems:
-deindustrialization and offshoring
-mass immigration
-financialization
-libertarian hedge fund economics
-”free trade”
-NeoCon wars and aggressive globalist interventionism
these all go back to Reagan and Thatcher. And the current Globalists have adopted them.
No wonder Blair embraced Thatcher and Obama - Reagan - as their own !
Good post!
