Okay fine, then apply Title IX in the same manner it was applied to girls/women’s sports since 1972: if you can find enough Transgender students to field a team for a particular sport, then you can play that sport... against other transgenders.
It’s never been boys vs. girls. That’s not what the proponents of Title IX were after... they just wanted to get statutory support for women’s athletics. Separating teams by gender (or by extension ‘transgender’), therefore, is not a discriminatory practice.
Exactly. Title IX was established when I was in high school. It was established to give young women the equal opportunity and funding in sports as young men had. So ladies could compete against ladies in athletics. I can still remember the name of the first girl’s basketball coach at Wamego High School.
