Bible in a Year :
I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.
Katherine Johnson was a teacher and mother of three. She loved Jesus and served in her church. God had blessed Katherine with a remarkable mind. NASA tapped her in the late 1950s to help with the space program. She was Glenn’s “brainy woman,” one of the “human computers” they hired at the time.
We may not be called to be brilliant mathematicians, but God calls us to other things: “To each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it” (Ephesians 4:7). We’re to “live a life worthy of the calling” we’ve received (v. 1). We’re part of one body, in which “each part does its work” (v. 16).
Katherine Johnson’s calculations confirmed the course trajectory. Glenn’s launch into orbit was like “hitting a bull’s-eye.” But this was just one of Katherine’s callings. Remember, she was called also to be a mother, teacher, and church worker. We might ask ourselves what God has called us to, whether big or small. Are we “ready to go,” exercising the grace-gifts He’s bestowed, living “a life worthy of [our] calling” (v. 1)? .
Reflect & Pray
What has God called you to do? How has He gifted you?
Dear God, please help me embrace what You’ve given me and live a life worthy of Your calling.
And thank you, tet68, for your service to our country.
Hey there, Kathy.
Yes, had a great time at the museum today. It was a widows group who went up there to hold this month’s meeting, then tour the museum. Several are widows of veterans and they enjoyed the place a lot. I heard some of them say they plan to take their grandkids there this summer when they come to town to visit. Some said they’ll be there Saturday after we told them about the planned activities. Not only will we have the cannons but Devon will be there to give people rides in his British APC again, and I don’t know where it’s flying in from but there’ll be a Black Hawk helicopter in the field out front. I can’t wait!
It was a gorgeous day here, like it is up there, but it was just a wee bit warmer here. LOL Not as blinding here, though, because we don’t have the snow you have. Man, it’s bright!

Yesterday at Comanche Lake:
We had to sit in traffic on the highway to the lake yesterday because some ODOT (Oklahoma Dept. of Transportation) idiots decided to do stupid roadwork and cause a freaking bottleneck.🙄 It took 4 minutes to get past that to get to the luck.
As of yet no storms here. Right now They're all up in Northern Oklahoma.
How's everyone doing this morning?
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Good that you don’t have to deal with storms tonight. Gizmo didn’t have to hide under the bed.
Are you expecting nasty weather this week like we are?
Let me go ahead and post the link address to our local radar for everyone to copy and paste. For some reason, I couldn't get the link to link in my last post.

Dang. Thursday? I hope that peters out before it gets this far east. We already have severe weather in our forecast for Wednesday. One round a week is plenty!
Maybe you’ll get lucky and won’t have severe weather after all on Thursday.
