New Hampshire Republican Governor Chris Sununu admitted on Sunday his support for former President Donald Trump "doesn't make sense" after criticizing him in the past.
Trump, the presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee, is facing four criminal indictments, all of which he has pleaded not guilty to. The indictments accuse Trump of election interference on the state and federal level, mishandling classified documents and obstructing the government's efforts to retrieve them, and falsifying business records relating to a hush money payment made to adult-film actress Stormy Daniels during his 2016 presidential campaign. Trump's first criminal trial, meanwhile, is set for Monday.
Sununu who previously shown support for former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley who ran against the former president during the Republican primary before suspending her campaign after Super Tuesday had previously said Trump should drop out if he's convicted amid his various legal cases.
However, the governor said last month he would support Trump's bid for president, adding that he stands by his previous criticisms of Trump, but that he preferred him over President Joe Biden

By headline, I knew it was libiot media.
Better late than neveri would be happier if all sen and govs did the same I think djt perfect but how anybody could think he worse than fjb??
See, this is what happens with most political dynasties: eventually the blood line starts to run thin.
The never ending luke warm support…
At least Sununu doesn’t seem to be as bad as the Bushes.
Lebanese are great people .
….
MO-RON
Not supporting Sununu, but I checked the YouTube transcript to see what the whole sentence around the “quote” was, and there isn’t anything that matches the title’s implication. It didn’t make sense to Georgie, that’s all. Even if one doesn’t like Trump but doesn’t like Biden more, it makes sense to vote for the guy who at least you think is the better of the two, which is basically what Sununu said. He wants a Republican administration, no matter who the Republican president is.
What does being an American with Lebanese ancestry have to do with anything? It’s his actions, not his DNA characteristics, that he’s responsible for.
This is the NH governor that followed Haley all around on the primaries and appeared to be sure enough sniffing around for some ah.... reason and now downing Trump again. Still sniffing around probably.
I attended the big NH GOP State conference on Saturday in Concord.
350 attendees, and Sununu was the main speaker.
First thing he does as he jogs up to the stage, trying to act cool - he manages to knock the “NHGOP” insignia sign off the front of the podium, and it clatters to the floor.
Embarrassing...
When he finishes his speech, only 4 or 5 people stood up to give him a standing-O. The rest of us sat there.
The only moment he got LOUD applause was when he mentioned Trump.
Granite State GOP folks hate Sununu.
He avoided attending our last State meeting.... b/c Trump was there.
There’s something wrong with Sununu. Seems to believe he’s a tough guy, uses his foul language, thinks he’s this awesome leader of men - but comes across as awkward, unlikable, weird, patronizing.
The clue-less leftwing media actually think they’ve scored some kind of a coupe by pointing out that “Trump supporter”, Chris Sununu might be contradicting himself. This is the bubble they live in. They have no idea that Trump voters, whether Republican or not, don’t give a rat’s ass about what Christ Sununu thinks.
Mealy-mouthed support beats no support or NeverTrump style sabotage.
He loves to hear himself talk but the only reason this clown has the job — is daddy.
So STFU.
Holding out for Michelle Obama to get the nomination in August?
No support would be just fine. Trump is surfing a tsunami. He just wants to be on the side that’s winning.

These idiots that make statements like this baffle me.
Is there some lingering doubt that the Obama/Biden regime
isn’t all that bad? Seriously. What the heck is running
around in this guy’s skill that makes him think he needs
to qualify his support for Trump.
Bud, either you’re all in, or you’re as confused as
Romney, Cheney, and McCain. Put a zipper in it if you
can’t back our next CIC.
We can’t have excess baggage drifting beside us slowing
our progress.
It’s all in folks! We have no choice.
Because the Democrats are DEMONIC, DUMBASS!
It’s a vote for trump. I think the more trump gets votes the better. Who care if he’s not thrilled.
