Iran now states its military action has concluded. It sounds like this was just a quid pro quo for the attack on its Embassy in Syria. Iran has no stomach for escalation, but Israel has the final say.

Russia would certainly benefit from the attack in the form of increased oil prices.

Part of me wonders if this is another Iranian head-fake tactic... Get Israel to respond with overwhelming force to hundreds of inbound drones and then cry "proportionality" to the international media for another round of anti-Israeli propaganda.

Let’s hope so. Either way, this should present a grand opportunity for Republicans to capitalize politically on the money Biden released to Iran. Whether they can or will effectively is of course unknown, but I think they should make as much hay out of the situation as possible.
