I was raised just southeast of there, in Mississippi, in the 50’s and 60’s.

The relatives say that too. Rea,ly though, this isn’t the America I grew up in and loved anymore either because liberals have screwed everything g up intentionally so.
The last time I was in this general area of Memphis, there was a prison nearby.
Agreed. I grew up in Memphis just a little east of this area (in the 70s and 80s).
Almost all of my family and friends moved away. I have one Hispanic friend who moved to the east side of town, and two black friends who haven’t moved away. No one else I keep in touch with is there.
I don’t even like to drive through Memphis any more.
