The Chief of Police just held a news conference repeatedly talking about gun violence.
Apparently there was a Glock with a "Glock switch" that converted it to fully automatic. Then the Glock started to become violent and shot the officers.
The fact that one of the suspects had been let go after a recent arrest probably doesn't have anything to do with it.

Real leadership. Paul Young browsing his cell phone while his police chief has to read from her cell phone and swipe pages to deliver a press conference in front of cameras. It was disgusting and there is way more to this story. The facts paint the two perpetrators as professional car thieves, and were arrested a few weeks ago with programming devices and machine guns. No bond even required.
I smell informants and retribution that went sideways. The cops are just the same in Memphis as the criminals. They frequently have overlapping interests.
