It doesn’t surprise me that you didn’t trust Reagan, but abortion is not a natural right or any kind of right and it can be made illegal if it is killing innocents, if it is just a troubling medical procedure and a woman’s right to choose without even input from the father of the recipient of the “troubling medical procedure’ then you guys are correct, it is just another thing that can be legal in as many states which choose it as a ‘medical procedure’.

I don't disagree with your underlying premise here, but I have said for years that a Federal law outlawing abortion stands a good chance of getting overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court in a 9-0 decision.

The biggest sticking point is the word "born" in the 14th Amendment. This makes abortion no different than pre-1860 slavery in a strictly legal context in the U.S. right now. It will likely remain a state-by-state matter until a constitutional amendment is adopted to enshrine the 14th Amendment rights of the unborn child.
