Yay for no snow today! Maybe you’ll get lucky ad make it through tonight without any as well. There’s a big low moving up towards you but the rain/snow showers are scattered.

It was pretty nice here though still on the cool side. Just a little breeze. Champ and I got a good workout, getting the back yard finished and the front yard at the old house is now mowed. I might not be able to do anything else for the next couple of days though. LOL I hurt from my hair to my toenails. But the place looks so much more civil now.

By this time next week, it’ll be shaggy again. Rain in the forecast most of next week. *sigh*

Howdy, luvie.

Did you need to wear weighted shoes when you went out to feed the kitties today?

Hey there, radu!

It was pretty awful at times. Luckily, it wasn’t too bad either time I fed the kitties. Breezy but not hair-raising till mid-afternoon. I hope this is the end of it for a while. Supposed to be a bit cooler tomorrow, but not uncomfortably so. 74-ish.

How were things there. I saw your FM...did you get Champ cranked up to mow that back yard finally? :)

Glad it wasn’t super bad there all day. I hope it’s calmed down a bit by now.
The eagles’ tree in KS sure was a-rockin’ today.

You’ll drop to 74 tomorrow and we’re supposed to warm up to the same. It got up to around 65 briefly this afternoon.

Yes, back yard is done and the front yard at the other house. My back couldn’t take any more so there’s one small area at the back of the old house that is still shaggy. Too bad! It’ll just have to wait.

Perspective is everything. LOL! Yes, it’s calmed down some, but still breezy. The kitties were comfortable coming up to eat dinner.

Glad you got that mowing done, but I’ll bet your back is screaming now! I’ll bet it looks really nice!

Can’t be too bad if the kitties aren’t too freaked out to show up to eat. They should really enjoy tomorrow.

My whole body hurts. LOL The front yard over there is bumpy as heck, plus there are a lot of trees to mow around. This yard is easier due to only a couple of trees.
I won’t be doing much the next couple of days.

I don’t know about really nice. It’s not a “manicured” lawn. I don’t live in a fancy subdivision where they care about perfection. As long as the grass and weeds are knocked down, I’m good with it. LOL

Our back yard has gotten to that very point in time. The weeds have overtaken the grass, but if you keep them short...and squint...it looks pretty good. At least it looks green. Right? ๐Ÿคฃ

You keep getting rain and you’re going to be back up on Champ sooner rather than later, so enjoy the time you have to “de-pain”.

Plenty of weeds in these yards. LOL But there’s plenty of grass too. The other yard has more weeds because of all the trees. Grass likes sun.

I’ll need to mow again by next weekend after all the rain they say we’ll have next week. I’m glad we had a day of sunshine, after a week of clouds, because we have another week of clouds ahead. *sigh*

The thing...well, one of the things...that I like about our St. Augustine grass is that it grows great in the shade, so we always have grass under the trees. But I think it’s all died in the back yard. Or most of it. The drought has been really cruel to this kind of grass. And to flowers, etc. I had a beautiful crepe myrtle and now it’s dead. It was very much alive last year, this year just dead.

You’re getting more than your share of clouds and rain this year. Enjoy it, because it’ll make all your trees and flowers even more gorgeous. But then....there is the mowing. The downside. :)

A very pleasant good Sunday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.

We had some thunder and lightning last night with storms in the area. Gizmo hid under the bed for a time. The storms have passed us for today. We may get some more tomorrow. We had ribs for supper:

And yesterday at Comanche Lake:

How's everyone doing this morning?

I’d say your drought has been really cruel to pretty much everything there except succulents. It’s been horribly dry.

We really haven’t had above normal rainfall here. Chances of rain doesn’t mean we’ll always get it and if we do, it’s usually a shower or two. It’s not all-day rain. Some days next week have low chances and some days high chances. But it’ll be cloudy most, if not all, the time regardless. You like cloudy days. They depress me.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

Glad to hear you got through the day and night in good shape, though poor Gizmo was rattled for a while by the thunder. From what I hear, it’s going to be a busy week with rain and storms rolling through.
At least storms didn’t ruin Gizmo’s fun yesterday and I hope that holds true for the day ahead.

I think that one reason I like cloudy days is because whatever moisture there is doesn’t evaporate quite as quickly as when the sun is bearing down on it.

And now I have to get off here and try to sleep. And I’m not sleepy. But if I can, I’d like to prevent my phone alarm from being destroyed. LOL! See ya tomorrow!

Even my street was mostly dry down the middle. Lots of puddles, and lots of melting snow, but NO ice the whole way in, or back.

They do help keep moisture from evaporating as quickly. You don’t get clouds all that often so they’re a treat for you.

I don’t mind puffy clouds here and there but totally gray skies, like we had this past week, gets old real fast. It was so nice being outside in sunshine today. Uplifting.

Good luck getting to sleep early-ish tonight. Be kind to your alarm in the morning.

I checked the cams around the time I knew you’d head to the office and it looked like any wet spots on the streets were just wet and not icy. Glad it turned out to be the case.

It looks like there are spotty showers in the area at the moment. Sky looks ugly. With luck, none will move over your house. You’ve had your share of shoveling.

Welllllllll....it’s snowing again. *sigh* Looks like it is really slowing down, but my deck is all white again. The driveway is all white, but the street is just too warm and the temps aren’t cold enough for the snow to stick...it’s just wet.

Should all melt away by noon or so if it doesn’t start again.

Congratulations to you and Champ for getting the mowing done.

So you did get a snow shower after all, huh? Drat. At least it doesn’t sound like a heavy one. Still some scattered showers moving up and over from the Gulf of Alaska but at the moment they’re few and far between.

It looks good over your way at the moment. I can see the lights up on Hillside and can make out the taller mountains behind, only because they still have snow. I can’t see them after dark once the snow melts.
But fog is starting to form around Lake Hood and Stevens.

I’m glad I was able to get the front yard at the old house done. I almost passed but I knew if I didn’t, it would be another week before I could and it would really be bad by then. I’m paying for it though. LOL I pay for it every time but I actually enjoy doing it.

Everything’s done and I’m off to the bat cave and heating pad. Going to bed with fingers crossed that the snow will stop up there.
