A team of vigilante hackers carrying out cyber-attacks against Russia has been sent awards of gratitude by Ukraine's military.
The team, One Fist*, has stolen data from Russian military firms and hacked cameras to spy on troops.
The certificates are a controversial sign of how modern warfare is shifting. [excerpt]
*One Fist is made up of hackers from eight different countries including the UK, US and Poland.

PRAY FOR UKRAINE
At the start of the invasion in 2022, One Fist spent months mapping out the physical and cyber-locations of hundreds of publicly viewable CCTV cameras in Ukraine. It was discovered that Russian forces were using them to monitor troops, so his team helped get the cameras switched off.
‘One Fist’ hacked into cameras in occupied Crimea to catalogue Russian tanks and equipment being moved over the Kerch bridge. Also, Russian weapons-maker was hacked stealing 100 gigabytes of private data. This information contained drawings, specifications, patents, software referring to both existing and promising military developments given to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
PRAY FOR THE DEFEAT OF THE UKRAINE
Are those the same hackers you used to break into bimboeruption's image-hosting account recently? Hmmmm???
Zeepers talk about anything but the actual war on the front lines. Why do they avoid the topic? It is because the front is moving westward ever more quickly and the Ukrainian defenses are starting to collapse.
Now be a good, little, propagandist Zeeper and tell me all about Putin’s latest cancer.
And Z man is sending 15 year olds and 50 years old to the front
total cannon fodder
Oh, wouldn't that be justice! Yes!
Ruxzia gaining six inches a day. Right!
Exactly. Zeepers avoid that topic like the Plague.
So they change topic to Ruzzia, Ruzzia, Ruzzia.
It’s all they have left.
The front is not moving in any significant way.
Hypocrisy? Like destroying Ukraine inch by inch because Putin loves his little Russians so much?
Dangerously ignorant clowns such as yourself, people with zero self-awareness, without even the slightest sense that they might be catastrophically wrong, should sit in the corner and watch as adults demand peace.
You know, there is a fascinating discussion to be had about third party private tech interventions in modern wars. This is a new phenomenon historically. The biggest, that we know of at this point, was Elon Musks gift of Starlink to Ukraine in 2022.
That created a huge market opportunity for SpaceX/Starlink btw. All sorts of DOD money has been flowing to Musk.
The stuff in this story is much smaller scale but still entrepreneurial. The DOD or intelligence agencies generally havent got the initiative or flexibility to do this.
But it doesnt seem to register with you knee jerk characters.
So you say.
Do you want peace? It doesnt seem so.
Putin deliberately upset the global system, opening Pandoras box, letting out the monster of international wars of conquest.
If he gets his way, all sorts of bad actors will be invading their neighbors. We already have him (and his Chinese and Korean friends) to thank for the renewed global arms race.
So I do. Think about it.
Come up with your own original ideas about the petroleum reserve. What is it for? What scenarios does it guard against?
Is it or is it not an obsolete idea?
Oh, sorry. I was on the petroleum reserve thread.
As for the war map, you can look for yourself. This is sub-WWI Western Front levels of movement.
