“If he had sent 500 jet fighters of any kind along with the full panoply of air-launched guided munitiona (HARMs and JDAM kits),”

Who is supposed to fly these 500 planes? Do we have 500 planes to spare? Get real. Ukraine doesn’t have enough pilots. They’d just get blown up on the ground. Unless you’re wanting to use our kids.

“Our kids” have good jobs now exporting energy to Europe because Russian interests are busy being getting kicked out of NATO Europe. Maybe you don’t want Americans to have those jobs and want them in Russia. That’s ok.

We currently have 3000 tanks in storage. About 30 have been given to Ukraine. We have plenty of old gear but obviously opposition to aiding Ukraine isn’t based on that reality.

Ukraine has more pilots than planes, which isn’t new to this war. So did the Russians in WW2. That’s why the West supplied them with 15,000 airplanes, including almost 5K of the late model Airacobra, first made in 1941.

Polish pilots performed better in the Battle of Britain, using British gear than their British counterparts. They lacked sufficient hardware, but neither skills nor personal grit.
