Ukraine has more pilots than planes, which isn’t new to this war. So did the Russians in WW2. That’s why the West supplied them with 15,000 airplanes, including almost 5K of the late model Airacobra, first made in 1941.

Polish pilots performed better in the Battle of Britain, using British gear than their British counterparts. They lacked sufficient hardware, but neither skills nor personal grit.

They don’t have 500 pilots and we don’t have 500 planes to spare. Lend-Lease and Polish pilots in the BoB are irrelevant. Unless you’re hinting around that US pilots should do it.
